The Tomb of Annihilation release is just around the corner and I was wondering what everyone else is hopping to get out of it. I personally am excited for some cool new traps and possible Archlich stats. Anyone else as excited as I am. From all I've heard on the streams and YouTube it's going to be amazing.
I mostly want Tomb of Annihilation because of the expansion of the Forgotten Realms map, adding Chult and Calimshan.

Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
Honestly, I am not sure how to play this one off, and that's mostly due to Tales from the Yawning Portal. When Tales came out, I used it as a way for our group to play when a member couldn't make it. I created a realm the other players would only enter while they were sleeping, where they were aware of one another and their actions. It starts with a white mist, but out of it a combination inn and bar materialized. When they explored the inn, they found the innkeeper would allow them to partake in past adventures from other times, all behind a door on the third floor. However, the innkeeper said to never enter the final door, as it was so dangerous that no one had come back and survived. The players did a couple small quests from TftYP this way, whenever certain other players couldn't make it to the session. The final door was supposed to be the final quest, at which point if they somehow made it through they would all receive a wondrous magic item. However, now I need to read Tomb of Annihilation to see if it is a new quest or an expanded version of the Tomb of Horrors, and if it is an expanded version, it looks like I will have to alter my "players missing" story.

I use summon instrument to summon my kettle drum, hold it overhead like Donkey Kong, and chuck it at the nearest kobold.
On the contrary, just wait to do the tomb of anihilation after they do tomb of horrors. By defeating the lichen in the dream, they've actually released him from his incorporeal prison. He returns to his physical form, in Chult, starts up the Soul Monger and the curse begins from there. Boom, adventure hook segway.

It is an all-new quest/adventure. Starting at low levels going up through the ranks.
Dragon Magazine just released a cool preview detailing some things about Chult. Grungs, the gods, acererak, and the yuan-ti. Go give it a look if your interested.
Anyone have the ToA bought on here that would invite me to a campaign just long enough I can look through your shared content ? I want to know if it's worth purchasing on here or should I just purchase the book?

I can barely begin to express how excited I am for ToA!
But I will problably not run or play the adventure until Xanathar's Guide. Really want to try the new subclasses.
