What ideas would you have on making some homebrew secrets for Icewind dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden.
The Prototype (restricted to human, half-elf, or half-orc)
I appear to be humanoid, but I am a secret construct built by a member of the Arcane Brotherhood to assassinate a rival group of wizards who are in Icewind Dale for an undisclosed reason. Sending me to kill the group frees my creator to investigate the secret on their own. I cannot be bargained with. I cannot be reasoned with. And I absolutely will not stop, EVER... until they are dead.
When creating your character, use the Warforged stats in Eberron Rising from the Last War, with the following changes: Integrated Protection. -Your body was built with a sturdy endoskeleton covered in living tissue, giving you a +1 bonus to Armor Class. -You wear armor that you have proficiency in normally, without the need to incorporate it. -Your armor CAN be removed against your will When you meet certain named NPCs, you will automatically attempt to kill them by any means, eliminating or incapacitating anyone who gets in your way.
As you are a prototype, other traits (both beneficial and detrimental) will be revealed when certain conditions are met.
(I left this up to the DM's discretion on what these traits are, or what triggers them, but an example could be: "When knocked unconscious, after your 3rd successful death save, you regain consciousness with twice your level in HP restored. You decide whether to 'play dead' or rejoin combat." Let your inner Terminator Fan loose!)
The Shadow over Faerun
My ancestor gained the affection of what he/she thought was a mermaid/man, thus gaining a blessing (or curse) from the sea. This was passed on to their descendants, and has been kept a family secret for years. You make all Survival(Wisdom) Checks while fishing with advantage as if you were proficient (if you are not). You are also resistant to cold damage while in the water. However, you exude a fishy smell, and have slightly protuberant eyes. All Persuasion(Charisma) Checks are made with disadvantage because of this.

This is my first version at two RotF secrets. Any constructive criticism is welcome. (make sure not to spoil it please)

Well, I hear a scroll to summon the tarrasque is already in there so I don't have any of my usual suggestions
Edit: oops -- sorry spoiler above is for Rime of the Frostmaiden -- don't click if you expect to play.
Thats what I get for thinking that a rumor about the new book is just a rumor :(
