I need some help deciding what type of monsters to use in our campaign. We have three different zones that we are working in. One zone is a dense forest, one is a volcanic forest, and the other is a frozen forest. I am having a hard time thinking of what types of monsters to encounter in each of these zones, we have players in each one. I need at least 3 to 4 monsters for zone 1 ,at least 3 for zone 2, and at least 2 for zone 3. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I would prefer to use some monsters that someone has already created or from any of the monster manuals. I really don't have time to create all of them. I could modify some, but creating them takes too much time ,and I am limited on time, these need to be called upon in game at a moments notice. I also need them to be at least CR of 5 to 10, They have to be difficult to kill. The reason for this is that they will be a major part of the story.
I wanted to do that, but couldn't figure out how to filter by enviroment. It's time consuming to read through every monster listed, I need to sort them to the type of enviroment.
There are superior monster search engines other than ones associated with this website.
I have no idea what the policy is on this site about recommending freeware, even if it breaks zero copyright laws. I go to one site that works perfectly, and sorts by any number of variables, including Environment, CR, Type of Monster, what book was the source of the monster, among other options.

You can look all that stuff up with the encounter builder. Just set the CR between 5 and 10 and look for elementals.
Actually, I'd use the monster tables and filter by environment. For example, https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters?filter-type=0&filter-search=&filter-cr-min=9&filter-cr-max=19&filter-environment=1&filter-armor-class-min=&filter-armor-class-max=&filter-average-hp-min=&filter-average-hp-max=&filter-is-legendary=&filter-is-mythic=&filter-has-lair=&filter-source=1&filter-source=5 for the frozen zone.
