I think art always adds value to a campaign. As a suggestion, I would point at the 'line tool' and fade the grid lines a bit as to not distract from the environment you're creating (as well as get straight, even lines).
Whether it's "worth it" to create the art yourself depends entirely on you and what you want. If you enjoy creating artwork, or if you don't mind it but you want your visual aids to be exact or near-exact matches to what you're picturing in your head, then sure! You'll have fun with it and be able to tailor it exactly to your campaign and players. If you don't enjoy it but feel like visual aids are still necessary/that you or your players would enjoy having them, then maybe it'd be a better idea to search around for existing artwork (used with permission if you're going to be sharing your campaign anywhere, obviously) that's close to what you're picturing, and maybe tweak it a little if it's still slightly off. Either way, I'm sure your players will appreciate that you've gone to the extra trouble to make your setting and campaign more immersive.
thanks for all the responses, I don't know how to use a line tool, But the grid is how i draw I like geodesic shapes and stuff and so thats what i know how to draw then i color it. And I definatly think its worth it I just wondered weather other people would tell me if my style of drawing would be useful here because its kind of like a birds eye view. That I'm still kind of struggling to get perfect but I enjoy how the grids connect and I have a way i make the first square. So that I can get that angle of view. I think it would be cool if i knew what I was doing better maybe i could look for other people work to pick up but im kinda a self tought artist. But I hope this path leads to something good. But thanks again for the tips and any points in the direction of where a artist doing this kind of stuff should look for help is appreciated.

In paint, or any other tool - there will be a symbol of a straight line that allows you to drag/place one on your image. By holding 'Shift', you can ensure it's straight. See example:
I don't see that tool in gimp what does it do? cool so your a moderator and you can help me learn about drawing thats pretty neat this is a nice forums.

When you're using the paintbrush tool in Gimp, hold shift and place two dots; it'll connect them with a line. You'll be able to see the outline of said line after the first mark is placed.
This should help create a more uniform image with consistent spacing.
