What is Random Encounter Monday? Well, it is where I take a randomly generated combination of monsters and write a suitable encounter as a design challenge!
What challenge are we throwing at a 13th level party this week?
The interesting design challenge of putting a party up against a single creature, as the heroes face a drow inquisitor!
I wanted to include a timed element, so I snuck in a trapped duergar spy for the group to potentially save. As the drow interrogates the duergar, the heroes have a choice to attempt to sneak close (past all the webs) or storm the lone inquisitor. Plus I tried to shift the terrain to be in the drows favour to balance out the number advantage! Let me know what ya'll think!

That seems pretty cool. I’d maybe throw in some pet spiders or something just to hassle the PCs. I like it quite a bit.
