I am considering running this dungeon for my party, though it would need some work to fit into my setting. I have no experience adjusting adventures and dungeons, so i am wondering if it will be worth the effort, or if I should go for something else. Here's a bit of background.
My players are about to travel to a site I have slowly built up to be a horrifying place that most locals stay away from. We play in a homebrewed post-apocalyptic arctic setting, and the site is tied into one of the players backstory (she's an oni spawn, which is a thing in my setting).
Now, the site in my setting house the remains of two deceased deities, devil brothers of sorts that resemble Onis, who are associated with unholy death - one devours souls, the other devours flesh. The apocalypse in my setting was an event that caused mortals to be detached from the true gods, including these two. However, in their paranoia, they left curses, secrets and blood behind to ensure a possibility of resurrection should they die. One of the players is such a precaution (she doesn't know this yet).
So! As my setting is arctic, I would have to change the feel of the dungeon to match this. How much work do you reckon this will be? I will have to at least:
Change names and descriptions to fit the arctic theme
Buff some encounters and DCs as they are level 7-8
Install my own lore elements into the dungeon (statues and stuff would be of arctic barbarians instead of mayan ones)
I think that the dungeon has some pretty neat overlaps with what I need to run a nice dungeon. The vampire boss fits well with my deceased deities, the desolate area, the warriors with animals themes etc. But is it too much work? And how would you do it?
Hope to get some cool answers :) Thanks!
