Is there a way that to add another D&D Beyond user to a campaign as a DM? I am co-DMing a campaign right now and would like access to see all the characters. Please advise
Found this thread because I was checking if there was a way to co-DM. I'll be co-DMing a campaign with someone, so it'd be very helpful if we could both have access to its public and private notes, and everyone's character sheets. Sharing logins is also no fallback choice for this, since some people have linked things like their Google accounts to logging in.
If there's worries about cheesing out of purchasing material on D&D Beyond, even view-only access for the second DM would be very helpful.
Ah, right I should describe this use case further: Ideally, I'd like it if both DMs could review campaign notes and character sheets (everything from stats to backstory) whenever they want. So either/both DMs can, independently and on a whim, work on developing content.
Right now, I think that means using a Google Doc for campaign notes, and occasionally exporting character sheets as PDFs to be shared via Dropbox or another syncing service. But at that point, it's just less value from D&D Beyond since I'm updating character sheets here, then updating another copy of character sheets elsewhere, and only one DM has write access to a meaningful version of character sheets. Doing that is less work than doing something similar without D&D Beyond, but it feels like being able to at least share viewing of full character sheet data could be very useful. Maybe a first implementation could be something like copyable "public view" and "full view" links unique per character sheet.
Agreed. A feature allowing the sharing of all DM access to a campaign (notes, encounters, unassigned characters/NPC, all character sheets, etc) with a co-DM would be fantastic.
As for paid content, content sharing is already available via a campaign. I can't see this discouraging buying source books etc any more than content sharing already does. If anything, this would increase the flexibility of their product, encouraging more people to use/buy it.
Agreed, this should definitely be an option, especially seeing as they'll already have access to all the source material simply by joining it as a player. It seems silly to not have that as an option.
I would also LOVE this feature - we are running a D&D club at the school I work at and it would be great for the adult DMs to be able to share with the student Co-DM so that we can training wheel them into it.
Is there a way to petition for a feature? A friend of mine started his campaign, but I'm the one with a DM subscription and all the source books. It'd be a tremendous help to make Co-DMing a thing.
As a new dm who is co dming with a couple of friends for a campaign soon, id love this feature, but until then the solution ive found is that since we already use discord for the game, having a specific section of the server that only the dms can see that has stuff like character sheet pdfs and all the notes and stuff works fairly well as a substitute for this.
There is a feature request for this on the DndBeyond Zendesk. Voting for the feature there can help increase the priority of it being considered/implemented.

I don't know but if there isnt i hope there is soon.
Seconded.
Agreed - this would be awesome. Not just for co-DMing, but also for helping out people who are just starting out as DMs.

You could ask the other DM to screenshare with you or put the info in a document (like Google Docs) and send it to you.

Throwing my 2 cents in as well. I think many people work with co-dm's (myself included) and this feature would make that effort SO MUCH easier!! :)
I agree that this feature would be great in our co-DM game
So ... after 2+ years... gonna guess the answer is ... No.
