In Tomb of Annihilation, I thought the idea of the Sewn Sisters being able to clone the characters had the potential to add to the horror vibe of the game, so I decided that I would use clones of the characters from a few sessions ago as a miniboss fight. There's just one problem: One of my players is a paladin, so if I want to make identical clones of the characters, I would need to figure out what deity it would be getting its power from, as a good-aligned deity wouldn't want anything to do with this clone. Any ideas?
“It cannot be seen, cannot be felt, Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt, It lies behind stars and under hills, And empty holes it fills, It comes first and follows after, Ends life, kills laughter.” J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
Sorry I wasn't trying to be glib or anything, just think it's a good simple outline which would be easy to follow... you could add some flavour by exchanging some features spells that seem more "opposite" to your players Paladin Oath
Then there is the question of is it supposed to run like a PvP ie a real player character stat block against the players or are you creating a "Monster" with a CR rating and very amalgamated states abilities features spells exetra? not sure if that is address in ToA (Tomb of Annihilation) Sewn Sisters ability I'm pretty sure a PvP style encounter is going to be quite heavy/difficult and probably rather a drawn out affair that said I've never run a PvP style encounter

I might start from the idea that: "Although many paladins are devoted to gods of good, a paladin’s power comes as much from a commitment to justice itself as it does from a god."
As the DM, you can waive the deity requirement for the paladin to have its powers, so long as they hold up their "version" of the Oath. The Oath that is taken is subjective unto the player of the character. In the case of the NPC version, the DM has leeway to determine how that paladin would uphold their Oath, what Oath they would take, what perspective the character would have, and how that interaction with the "cosmic background" might play out. The "clone" doesn't have to be a carbon copy, just needs to have the feel of one.

Orange Juice!
Oath Breaker Paladin would seem very fitting to me -> Paladin Oathbreaker
