I'm having a tough time problem solving a technical issue for my remote players. I can't figure out a way to synchronize a soundtrack for ambient music or noise to 4 or 5 remote devices, as time and circumstance has moved our sessions almost fully remote. Has anybody had any success with this?
Ideally, I'd like for them to be able to control their own volume to adjust between devices, but I'd settle for synchronized sound alone.
I play over Discord and use a music bot. Everyone can control the volume for themselves and I've never really had issues with playback sync. Occasionally I'll hear the music echo if someone isn't using headphones, but it doesn't happen often and it's easy enough to tell them to lower their speaker volume or for me to mute the music bot for myself.

What this guy said. I play my games the same way each week and it works really well. Cannot recommend enough.

I’m impressed you’re even trying. Background music on online play usually just gums up the works and makes it hard to hear what people are saying.
We're playing through FoundryVTT and I can put whatever music there to play and it works perfectly.
