you read the title, should Mammon have an offical statblock?
dont lie, you had no clue Mammon was in DND. I don't blame you. he's mentioned ONCE in the write up on the 9 hells in the DMG. for the life of me, I cant find any other mention of him, even though he can do a little more than other devil lords, because he also deals in gold instead of souls, souls, and more souls. I like him, he deserves a statblock, like so many other devil lords
About Me: Godless monster in human form bent on extending their natural life to unnatural extremes /general of the goose horde /Moderator of Vinstreb School for the Gifted /holder of the evil storyteller badge of no honor /king of madness /The FBI/ The Archmage of I CAST...!
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Fun Fact: i gain more power the more you post on my forum threads. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Mammon has a stat block in Chains of Asmodeus (which, like all Extra Life charity products, despite being published by WotC, has a muddled connection with the rest of D&D).

Mammon had a stat block in Tome of Beasts 1 but lost that in translating over to DDB. hopefully they left him out because Chains is coming to DDB soon too?

unhappy at the way in which we lost individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
tell them you don't like features disappeared quietly in the night: providefeedback!

I suspect Wizards doesn't want stat blocks for characters that are already in D&D canon being provided by third parties (at least, not in a way that can be interpreted as official recognition of the variant stat block). That said, it would hardly shock me if Chains came to DDB.
Aahah! I knew that Mammon was in D&D. He was originally a Statblock in Tome of Beasts I think, CR 25. All of the Lords of the nine should have Statblocks, besides maybe Levistus for obvious reasons.
I think Zariel might be the only official Lord of the Nine with a stat block, which does make it kind of weird that so many demon princes have them.
yeah that is weird.
geryon, not currently a lord of the nine
moloch, not currently a lord of the nine
titivillus, despite running dis, is not a lord of the nine
huitjin, a hired gun for mephistopholes
we need lord of the nine statblocks

In the typical dnd setting like faerun. Yeah, give arch fiends a stat a block but if your view of angels and demons are as unfathomable biblical monstrosities representing abstract concepts like greed or lust then probably don't, instead create a stat block for a manifestation of them that fits the specific situation better. Mammon could for example be represented as a dragon hoarding gold.

Mammon isn't an abstract concept in D&D, though, he's an actual being.
I disagree that he needs to have a statblock, though, because statblocks are a thing that's only needed for something that the party is intended to be able to fight. The Lords of the Nine are devils of godlike power that should be well beyond the capabilities of mortals to face in actual combat.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

I think demon lords are meant to be on par with gods. Therefore, no stat block, with very few exceptions.
