I did the preorder and got the Vecna: Nest of the Eldritch Eye pre-adventure. Now I have access to the adventure content and the second chapter is Return from Neverdeath Graveyard. They are not the same adventure but both of these adventures seem to have the same purpose narratively. Am I supposed to run one and then the other? I know that time would pass for the characters in between these adventures but it would be back to back for the players. Seems like it would feel redundant to run to back to back adventures in the Neverwinter sewers.
Honestly, they don't really feel all that linked together. My own inclination was to use the Eldritch Eye as a soft introduction to Vecna and the dangers that lurk beyond the city of Neverwinter.
You could for example run it as part of a session zero/session one for those new to D&D 5e. Or for those less familiar with the adventure setting, then equally good as an introduction to the world of Faerun and the Forgotten Realms?
If my players were familiar with both, I wouldn't bother with it to be honest. It's pretty unrelated to the Eve of Ruin adventure. So much so it feels like it was pre-order bait for those of us who were looking forward to a high level adventure.

The idea was to run one, and then a long time later (the level difference) run the campaign so the cult isn’t new nor their being in Neverwinter.
