Hi, everyone. I’m a first timer dm and I have much more experience playing board games than I do with D&D. I wanted to create my own one-off session to try before I commit to a campaign. As a result, what I’d really like to do is create a mystery - with much more investigations, interrogations, and puzzle solving than fighting. I love the idea of printing out puzzles that could be commonly found in Escape Rooms or other board games that emulate the feel of an escape room to use in D&D, and then give them to the players as they discover the puzzles.
My question is if anyone is aware of any previously made puzzles or resources available that I could use? I’ve glanced through the forum and found a few suggestions of riddles or hidden information puzzles - but I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you, and I am sorry if this has been mentioned before. This is my first time using the forum.
Be careful when you unload this on your players. Not everybody likes puzzles, and if you have it based on skill rolls even the best character can fail a roll. If your party loves puzzles and riddles great! If not, they will get bummed out quickly.
