Hello all . I'm about to start Lost Mines of Phandelver for a new group which seemingly should finish off with players at level five. Looking beyond that I was wondering about Curse of Strahd but that's listed as lvl 1-10. Does this mean it's only suitable as a starting level 1 module at its beginning? Or can it follow on from LMoP?
You can skip the optional Death House chapter (lvl 1-3), and then play as normal. There's not too much difference if the players are lvl 5 at the start, except maybe it takes them shorter time to feel brave enough to knock on Strahd's front door. There's a lot of places to go in Barovia, and odds are your players will always find reasons to go to places they outlevel or are underlevelled for, no matter what level they are.

Cheers for any advice.
It can follow it, the levels listed are just a recommendation. You may need to tune encounters, however.

I am one with the Force. The Force is with me.
Cheers. I'd love to go for something Raveloft and it would be a shame to miss out simply because they'd already played the Lost Mine.
