i have DM'd a few times before, but this is my first 5.0 game. i noticed some of the weapons were not carried over, namely the scythe. i am using rules for a guisarme right now, but will this be correct? and can we expect more equipment later for DMs?
There's guidance in the core rulebooks that you can happily create new weapons, using the stats of the existing weapons, which is why they haven't published an exhaustive list of different polearms, all with 1d10 damage and heavy, reach, two-handed.Effectively, take the

one slashing implement on a long stick doesn't really need to be differently represented by mechanics from another slashing implement on a long stick.

I do miss the 2d4 x3 damage on a natural 20 of the scythe though.
It was like a 2h longsword with a higher crit multiplier.
