So I'm having a hard time understanding fully what this is supposed to be. As a DM currently running on another online system, I am looking over this and trying to determine what this is going to bring to the table for me. How are compendiums, books, adventures laid out? Are they embedded PDFs? How are characters shared? How are they verified? Basically, what can't I do that will require reliance on another system?
You can create a campaign & invite players (the campaign tools functionality is limited currently), where you can see their characters and share content with them via a Master level subscription.
If you purchase an adventure, you get a high resolution copy of the maps with it.
As far as I read, there's no content control/permissions in place for sharing.
I might have to wait a bit to let it cook some more. I like the idea, but functionality wise it's appearing limited compared to other options (that I've already paid for.) Not opposed to rebuying material, especially with the price reduction, but I'm unsure if this is suitable for what I need.
Are there screenshots of what the campaign screen looks like when running? I created a testing campaign, but since none of my players are on this system as of yet, I can't exactly invite them to get a look.

The books are laid out as you can see the Basic Rules Compedium. You will have all the artwork, maps and content.
No PDF for the books. If you are looking for an offline app, this will be development in the future.
The character sheet are gathered by the creator of the campaign and can be seen only by he/she.

You can create a campaign right now with a free account. Check the "My content " section.
Now, the campaign management is just a notes management, but more things will come in the future.
