I need help naming a campaign I am putting together. It is a homebrew campaign set in a fantasy version of the Italian renaissance using an actual renaissance style map of Italy. If anyone has any ideas I am all ears. Thank you!
But what’s the adventure type? Heist? Undead? Political Intrigue? That’ll change the name. It could range from Dragon Ciao to The Catacombs of Rebirth. The Age of Mastery.

Don't get me wrong, you should name it if it's something you want to do; I'm not criticizing that. It's just that it's never occurred to me to try and name a campaign I'm running - and I've been playing for a bit. If we refer to past campaigns it's "you remember that time that the Paladin drew a sword against the Thieves Guild in that Tavern, and we all ended up in jail?" ( yes - real in-game example :p ).
However, I agree that a shape of the overall campaign - and a name - will come to you after playing it out some.
If you really wanted to try streaming it - and thus need a title up front - naming it after the setting ( Jim Davis' Land Between Two Rivers ) or the Party ( Matt Mercer's Force Grey ) isn't a bad way to go.

When we were playing D&D back in the day we never named campaigns, or parties. We started naming teams in Champions, because it's something supeheroes do. And then we named the Champions campaign after the team. "The Crusaders Campaign" or "The Vanguard Campaign." Or if one person was GMing (this happened later -- for years we just rotated GMs every adventure), it became "Rob's campaign," or "Stuart's campaign."
I have named mine now... for only one reason. I put two campaign ideas in front of the players, and I thought for ease of reference I should name them so it was easy to tell me which one they wanted to play during Session 0. So I called the one based on Rome "Pax Romana", and the other one "Age of Chaos." That's the only reason my current campaign is called "Pax Romana" right now.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
@BioWizard The groups I have been involved with have done the same thing basically. Nowadays we refer to certain campaigns based upon the central theme, defining antagonist, or memorable moment. Had a Greyhawk campaign where all the characters worshiped Pelor and were on a "crusade" it went into fairly high levels for back then, Lords of the Light campaign is what we refer to it now. Then there were several Conan campaigns, and a high seas adventure, there was the When We Murdered the Disguised Antagonist Posing as a Prisoner Campaign, and then of course some campaigns become self-explanatory, Temple, Slavers, etc.
I mean in retrospect I wish we had named the campaigns so that we could easily reference them now, instead of saying, "That campaign where Bob played the thief who used to steal form everyone...." Especially when the next question is, "Was that the campaign when I played the Elf or the Dwarf?"

Names help give a feel for the campaign. I just named my new Wildemount campaign the Secrets of Wildemount, because it is a continent filled with secrets the characters can learn over the course of the campaign.
My Shadowfell campaign was named "Sunder of the Shadowplague", because there was a curse that caused people's shadows to animate and kill them.
My Eberron home campaign was named "Born of Prophecy" because of its focus on the Draconic Prophecy.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Perhaps plant the seed with your players to name the campaign themselves? You know, have an NPC ask the players what campaign are they questing on, or something?

Why do Campaigns need names?

Unknown, but I'd go for the lulz... Probably going to stream it or something...
Bellum Romana (or whatever you want to call your State) Quite the opposite of Pax Romana
Medusa Lisa
Discourses on Livy
The Reason of State
Opera Seria
How about "The DaVinci Codex?"

Wait to name it after a while. This is what I always do so I can get a feel for what the game is going to be like.
