Okay, a while ago in my campaign my druid player found a new path in druidism by linking himself with the elements rather than nature and fey (homebrew). In order to get to it, he found a teacher who had him speak to the elemental elders (Zaratan, Leviathan, Phoenix and Elder tempest, from Mordenainen's tome of foes, are basically the rulers of the elemental planes in my setting.
Because of his constant effort to appease to Zaratan she kept giving him wisdom when he needed it and last session he required to find a hidden hatch to cross a river so he requested that he does what Toph from Avatar the last air bender do to see through the earth. I kinda derped a little a gave it to him for free. Now, he may start asking for it again and i am fearing it might break the campaign... will it break the campaign? if it won't how should i approach it?
Note: Tbh, i was thinking of avatar while creating this elemental path and i am currently trying to make something similar to bending. currently, the player is still a land druid (Arctic).

Easily explained as a one time "perk" Zaratan provided, not a constant use thing.
Otherwise, seeing through the earth, if limited to say 10' won't really provide that much of a difference, if it is 30' then that can be hard to use any burrowing enemies. But, if there is nothing "attacking from below" then it is really not useful at all. Remember earth is not stone, especially worked stone. So seeing through walls is a no-go. And it really shouldn't be seeing through but into, it should end where the earth ends, not able to see "empty space" beyond.
You could treat it like Divine Sense. He can use it once, maybe twice, a day for a 6 second duration.
Alternatively, you could give him 20 ft tremor sense as long as his eyes are closed. This would make him happy, while still making it not too broken. Within 20 ft he can see creatures foot steps and know their relative size and weight. And because his eyes are closed, he would be under the blinded condition for anything outside of 20 ft.
The real problem is that there are usually spells to cover this stuff—his Druid spells ARE the favor of Zaratan, and you don't need to heap more on top. And if you do, you run the risk of the other players getting upset that they don't get cool perks. I'd suggest bringing it up with the group before the next session, that while it was a cool moment you're worried it could break the balance of the game, so don't expect to get bonus abilities that aren't on the sheet in the future. It's difficult, but the honest approach is usually the best in the long run.
Not to be “that guy” but it seems like it’s not blindsight as much as tremorsense. Flying creatures (or swimming creatures) would be completely invisible.

Tbh, i want to give him something without breaking the game, I was thinking maybe an action to use it?

For some reason i thought tremor sense is the same thing as blindsight... after googling it it turned out i was talking about tremor sense! also using it like divine sense might balance it out.

The thing is, i encourage people to seek out things rather me giving them stuff. The druid was looking for other druids and researching to get them and attempt to find in order to learn from them. So i reward effort and not simply just free gifting them.

Yea, i figured that out not too long ago. I thought they were the same thing. Still thanks for telling me.

Wizard (Gandalf) of the Tolkien Club
Alternately, make it cost a spell slot. It's not really that different from Find Traps.

Looks interesting, might make something out of it.
