Hello all, one of my players is a wild magic sorcerer and at times, his chaos grows more powerful, making him roll from my custom table. I have a number of effects and I give all my players a chance to add their own ideas to the table. The table started at 30 effects and is growing as his chaos grows. I eventually plan on adding a 3rd tier table for when his magic is extremely chaotic.
I'd love to hear any crazy/funny/random ideas for a unique table. The effects can be positive, negative or just plain weird!
A few of my favorites so far:
1) You Die... (Really an out of body experience): Your soul enters the ethereal plane, but to the other players, your body is lifeless. The next 3 people who touch your physical body also have this effect cast on them. Ends when you enter a lifeless body affected by this.
2) Super Magnet: You attract all ferrous metals to yourself. (STR save for players etc, to keep hold of their weapons, DEX save for sorcerer to avoid taking damage from the weapons.)
3) Polymorph into a Dragon! (That's 3ft. tall.): Roll to determine the type of dragon, the stats of which are altered for being so small. (fully aged dragon the size of a hatchling)
4) Legendary Chaos (Duration 3 rounds of combat ~20s): You gain the ability to use 1 Legendary Action per round of combat. The action can only be used to activate anything chaotic. (Cast Chaos Bolt, Chromatic Orb, Roll on Wild Magic Table, etc.)
5) Your head falls off! Your body can still move, and acts on your command as long as you can see it. (Effect ends when the head is placed back on the body with proper orientation.)
6) Aroma of Betrayal: Your body emits a foul odor that makes the closest ally, or undead (within 30ft.) become offensive/allied to you for 1 minute, respectively.
I would be careful tweaking the wild magic table. It's actually pretty closely designed to have just the right ratio of positive to negative effects to make it something you want to roll as often as you can while still carrying some risk.

Cant wait for the next time his chaos grows!
