We should have a plane of chaos that has several layers, one of which is the fey plane. I think we should change the aberration plane (move them to outside traditional planar cosmology) to a plane of order, which includes the plane of shadow and the celestial plane.

Let's see so if we were to have a plane of chaos we'd need a plane of order, but I don't really like having multiple planes in 1. There will also be a transitional plane that connects all the planes

There is D&D precedent, but it's your world. There definitely needs to be a plane of origin for fey, though, otherwise it could mess with a lot of elven stuff imo.

I agree, that there needs to be some sort of origin location for the fey, but we could do what we did with the celestials and give them more of a minor role in the world.
What I was trying to say is that I don't want an origin plane fey or aberrations to be part of an order or chaos plane.
The final plane could be anything you guys want, anything from a fey to a dream or prison plane.
There's a material plane, Norgaarddar the Draconic plane, a Fiendish plane, an Elemental plane, an Aberration plane, a transitional plane, and 1 or 2 others depending on your ideas

I'm sorry for shooting down your idea, but I like at least the aberrations to have their own plane. If I'm not mistaken Fey tend to the Chaotic alignment so they could be at least part of the plane of chaos...... and order could take a page out of Forgotten Realms and have Constructs, or avoid the norm and have say Celestials
in the far north stretching down to the far east lies the kingdom of varia. This land is ruled by 7 dragon lords each holding a seperate region of the vast land and electing one of them to become the great wyrm of the land every 5 years. This position is held by every type of mettalic dragon at the moment and a single emerald dragon that which rules a vast jungle and a suprisingly decent hydra (who qualifies for the position thanks the draconic ancestor) who rules a vast swamp. As of late however their has been conflict among the council as one of them (the ancient gold dragon moradai) has been replaced by a strange impostor draco-lich.
oh no
AN IMPOSTOR
jokes aside
The mining town of Nol'gavrell has recently discovered a new resource: strange purple gems which absorb dragons' breath weapons with an endless appetite. So far, it hasn't been implemented in battle, but it's only a matter of time.
Ooh, I like this,
I had something similar with magic spell storing gems but this is much cooler! The Draconic War happened in the past by the way
I'm gonna take the breath-weapon absorbing crystal idea and kick it up a notch so to speak
Early on in the draconic war, the crystals were discovered and soon after used to eliminate most of the threat of the powerful breath weapon, but a clan of dwarves found a more inventive way of using them. by forging the crystals into weapons and armor they created armaments that are immune to breathe weapons and even hold the energy for later use. Unfortunately, the forge was destroyed in the war and the art was lost..... but still the legendary weapons exist. the true dragon slayers that turn a dragon's own energy against them.
Under Harbor and Far Harbor are two towns that are in the same spot. They were founded when a bronze dragon allied with a group of (sea elf’s? I can’t find the right name for them). The dragon remains as the ruler of both towns but mostly leaves them to rule themselves.
Under Harbor is ruled by a council and Guides ships through the pass and into the harbor. They also clear out sandbars and clean up wrecks. Far Harbor ensures the roads are safe and ensures that the waves are respected
Under Harbor is relatively unknown unless you sail to Far Harbor. They are the main naval power in the region and the bronze dragon eagerly leads fleets out to capture pirates and other scoundrels on the high seas.
the peregrines is a semi criminal group. They get letters and other information to when it needs to go regardless of obstacles. They are known for taking jobs from criminal groups and terrorist groups.
Their symbol is a blue bird with outstretched wings. They work in cells with a central area where training is done. They are based out of Windhelm where they have a positive relationship with the leader
Windhelm was a human city that was captured during the war. The people aren’t happy about that and want to overthrow their draconic rulers. It’s been a thorn in many a side but it’s currently ruled by a green dragon
the dragon king has seemed to be slack in dealing with the rebels but has actually Infiltrated them and control both sides of the war. He uses the rebels as reasons to request aid and resources as well as dealing with anyone one who he can’t deal with legally.
he funds the Peregrines as a means of getting messages to the groups he controls.
His Ultimate goal is to become a member of the council where he can influence events better from there.
I like all these ideas, it shows how the dragons still are hanging onto their original continent, I was thinking there'd be 3-4 continents on the material plane, the one the dragons fled, the one they created, and a couple of non-dragon war continents? thoughts?
for planes, I was thinking something like this....
material plane surrounded by the transitive plane Limbo, that connects to this world "Inner planes" namely the four elemental planes and the plane of dreams which is a prison for the god of the Fey god and the god of undead/shadows, this solves a few problems namely a plane of origin for Fey
The "Outer planes" involve more work but there will be a plane of origin for the remaining interplanar creature types.
Is anyone going to help? If not then I guess I'll do it all myself. And upload a full doc for everyone playing in my games in this world.
Normally that's what you'd do as DM. You're essentially asking people to invest their time giving you ideas that you then might take, or might just dismiss, based on whim.
You will probably get more useful or detailed responses if you ask specific questions about things you are having trouble with developing. It's not currently clear what you need help with. I would be happy to provide you with some suggestions if you have something specific you need an answer to.

good point, sorry. anyway, I was wondering if my ideas of having 4 continents, and to essentially merge the Forgotten Realms Feywild and Shadowfell into one plane of dreams are good ones.
I'm sorry for shooting down so many good ideas I just didn't really like them, based on the feedback on the dreams plane I may consider it again

I realize now that Limbo is the name of the plane of chaos in the forgotten realms. It still seems like a good name for a transitional plane though
