The "Falling Star" was inspired by that planet flail from Elden Ring, I figured the idea of a space themed flail would transfer well to D&D and thus, Falling Star was made.
Let me know what ya think of it and maybe even what character you would use it with, have a good one :)
I'm one of the only people who hasn't played Elden Ring but when I first read the name and some of the description I was reminded of this old school artwork...
I could have envisioned the entire flail being like this except for the ball part having a larger radiant sphere inside of it.
I love when people get creative and add new things into the game. The item is perfect as is but it gets me thinking about what I would add to it... Maybe the head of the flail can grow brighter and darker on thought of the wielder. Not so much as the light or dark spells but enough to be a torch-like light source and then to dim down for stealth. Maybe when you cast darkness you can have the option of the ball part going in the opposite direction and multiplying in it's radiancy so that's all you see and if you swing it around it creates a hypnotizing effect on viewers. I think that would be neat but I suppose then it wouldn't be like the item your referencing.
You could make a more powerful version of this flail that grants spells like dark star, crown of stars, or ravenous void. Moonbeam is also a good candidate for the current version, despite not being part of the original.
