The item specs are as follows: This is my own personal robe, very rare version of the legendary archmagi robes.
Meticulously crafted with many legendary items, holds the power of both defense and dark power of resistance.
As long as you are not wearing other forms of Armor(Shields ok), your base Armor Class is 14 + Dex(no limit)
You have advantage on Saving Throws against spells and other magical effects.
Resistance to webbing and sticking/glue-like effects
An outfit made of pride silk weighs 4 pounds and costs 500 gp. If you aren’t wearing armor, your base Armor Class is 11 + your Dexterity modifier while wearing it.

The issue im having is there is no 'cloth' or regular silk' option of armor/clothing whilst making a custom magic item. This is not 'pride silk' but i select that option as it is the closest thing to normal silk. BUT when I do so. Suddenly I add this to my character and I have disadvantage on everything??? Stealth, slight of hand, dex checks acrobatics, etc. For no reason.
I am a fighter who is proficient in all weapons and armor and shields. So there should be no restriction or disadvantaage of wearing this. Also when I put it on, the AC is wrong. I can pre-set the AC to 14 + dex(no cap). Which should equal 17 when my Dex is 3. Instead all I get is 14.
Can someone explain how to make this, or just make it for me?
Also there is NO 'resistance to sticking or webbing' effects. The creation site is missing a LOT of options. So idk if there is a way to set that besides putting it in the item notes as part of the effects.
Characters need to manually add Pride Silk Proficiency to their characters.
Although, it would be easier to make a copy of Archmagi robes and just edit that. It already has AC 15 + Dex. So ya can just edit to 14 + Dex instead. Ya then don't need to worry about proficiency or anything and it already adds the advantage etc.
As for "resistance to sticking/webbing" no item grants this in D&D 5e so the homebrew tool doesn't have it as an option. Also because there's no such resistance in D&D. In D&D "resistance" means half-damage or using a Saving Throw. It has no other meaning. It's not D&D Beyond's fault you want to use a game term for something else.
So when you say "resistance to sticking" etc, ya may want to clarify what that actually means. If you're thinking of something like advantage to Strength or Dexterity saving throws against sticking and webbing effects then use the advantage modifier and detail in the info box - once for strength and once for dex. If you mean something like not being affected at all well that's just something you add in description. It's not tracked by the sheet at all so - again not even a D&D Beyond thing, it's just a feature, so add it in desc and you're good.

I made a video to better explain pride silk and show you how to make your item.
I could have been more clear and stutter a couple of times, but I'm super tired so this is best I can be bothered with at moment. Even so, hopefully it helps and shows you how to make the item you want.
