Hi all. I'm hoping to write me a book someday, and I've been focusing on polishing it up. That said, I need ideas and feedback on some of my concepts. My favorite (and most pressing ones) are as follows:
THE WOLF PEOPLE
Yeah, I'm adding wolf people. We've got the tabaxi, now it's time for a canine equivalent, I say. I'm having difficulty deciding on the names for these fantastic creatures, and I'm torn between "Lupid"/"Lupin" and "Wulven". I want to know which sounds better to y'all, or hear any better ideas.
THE SPELLGUNNER
Bladesinger was really, really cool. But I could never make melee combat work with my wizards. This concept has been redone before (like in Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms, which offered the stealth-based Shinobi subclass), but I wanted to make my own take on it, hence the spellgunner. Most of the features are there, like increased movement, AC, and the ability to raise defense. But I have some new ideas, like being able to imbue bullets with damage types of your spells, or having different bullet effects based on the spell school. I feel that may cross into different class territory, though. Help appreciated.
THE ARCANE ASTRONOMER
Another wizard subclass. I suppose I have a bias towards wizards. The arcane astronomer is a favorite idea of mine, sort of like conjurer and illusionist working together. The idea is focus on radiant damage and unique summons with different abilities, like the Arcanist of Final Fantasy 14. As you grow in power your summon pool increases, and the summons get stronger. Should I make one mutable stat block or several so I can have multiple on the field at once?
These are my current projects. Let me know what you think! I can't wait to hear from y'all! :)
