I have a new group of players, all of which are brand new to TTRPGS and D&D, and I'm thinking about removing the 1 levelled spell per turn rule. Effectively making it so you can cast a levelled spell (ex: fireball) as an action and then a bonus action levelled spell (ex: misty step) as a bonus action. The main reason I'm thinking of removing this rule is to make things a bit simpler for my players and also I don't see any big reasons I shouldn't. I should clarify I'm using the 2024 rules, so action surge & quickened spell shouldn't have any effect on this. Anyone else have any thoughts on the topic or know of any game breaking combos?
I don't think those spells would work together, Plant Growth just causes all "normal plants" to grow, the vine from grasping vine would be a magically created plant. Unless I'm missing something there. And yes it would be a buff to spellcasters but it seems less complicated and more fun.

I'm not saying that plant growth affects grasping vine, just that the combo is very powerful and the ability to use it in one turn would be overpowered.

Grasping vine and plant growth. Also, this would be an unnecessary buff to spellcasters.
