I'm looking for a way to create a race with a natural weapon that has the following two properties.
1) The character can use Dexterity instead of Strength on it's attack rolls and damage rolls witht he natural weapon (ie. finesse). 2) The natural weapon deals 1 + Strength or Dexterity Modifier piercing damage PLUS 1d4 acid damage.
It's a Snake-Person, or maybe a Poisonous Frog-Person, or maybe a Mosquito-Person. Poison and Acid Damage can be interchanged with a little bit of logical excuse. Or you could make an Llama-Person, the spit from Llamas is Acidic. The Southern Giant Petrel vomits acid at attackers. It can easily be stretched as far as you like, but it's easiest to use an existing animal that has Acid, Poison, or Venom and make a Person out of it.
I already have the cconcept, I'm adapting the flumph into a playable race. I'm almost done, but I'm having trouble adapting their tendril attack into a natural weapon.
This doesn't get the full effect of the monster block version as I focused on the specifics of what you said you wanted:
Tendrils - Your tendrils are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. This natural weapon has the Finesse property. If you hit with them, you deal 1 + either your Strength Modifier or Dexterity Modifier Piercing Damage and 1d4 Acid Damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
the problem in DND beyond, you can't add the bonus acid damage if you aldready have the peircing damage. DND beyond should add a modifier tabs in the action tab. Because on the action tab there is only the level scaling. they should add modifier to the attack to add bonus elemental damage to the natural one.
Hi all,

Can anyone think of a way to do this?
