Looking for advice balancing the following item. It's intended for use as a Hexblade patron. I'm multiclassing Sorlock and plan to start taking Hexblade at 6th level, for a total of 3 levels in Hexblade. Since Orb of Dragonkind is both too powerful for that level, and requires some thematic alterations, I made the Orb of the Dragonslayer. It maintains the suggestion mechanic, and the dragon summoning mechanic, which will appear at 17th level. (but can target all dragons, not just evil aligned ones.) The rest of the features are remade to balance for a long term progression, and will synchronize with the Warlock class. Could use advice on anything that raises red flags for balance, or any wording tweaks that would be recommended.
Ritual Casting
This item functions as a spellshard, serving as a Book of Ancient Secrets for a warlock who has the Pact of the Tome feature. While attuned to the Orb, you can learn ritual spells when their spell level equals your warlock level. You can resummon the Orb using the same procedure as your Book of Shadows, so long as you remain attuned to it. Attunement to the Orb requires a long rest.
Floating Eye
The Orb can be stored, or you speak it's command word and cause it to hover with a bonus action. When hovering, the Orb stays within five feet of the warlock at all times. It counts as spellcasting focus for you while hovering.
While hovering, you can use the Orb to cast detect magic at will. If detect magic is cast, then the warlock sees through the "eye" of the Orb in place of one of their own eyes. The warlock can also use a bonus action to cause the Orb to emit a 30 ft cone of magical blue light from it's "eye", which is bright light for the first 15 ft and dim light for the next 15 ft. A bonus action can also be used to shut off this cone.
Eldritch Invocations
Starting at 7th Level, the Warlock gains the following eldritch invocations. If an eldritch invocation has a level prerequisite, treat it as your total levels, rather than your warlock levels.
Eldritch Spear
Sign of Ill Omen (simply limit one/long rest, no Warlock slot required) Gift of the Protectors
Prerequisite: 9th level, Pact of the Tome feature A new page appears in your Book of Shadows. With your permission, a creature can use its action to write its name on that page, which can contain a number of names equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1). When any creature whose name is on the page is reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, the creature magically drops to 1 hit point instead. Once this magic is triggered, no creature can benefit from it until you finish a long rest. As an action, you can magically erase a name on the page by touching the name on it.
Healing Waters (custom) Prerequisite: 10th level
You can cast cure wounds twice at 5th level. You can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
Visions of Distant Realms
I also was wondering if anyone knows how to set "Recovery type" on spells in the magic item editor?

Any thoughts?
