I'm relatively new to D&D Beyond and am trying to enter my first homebrew magic item that I was assigned during a session I had earlier today. The weapon has an adder to the damage on a hit, but it seems that no matter which modifier I add in the tool it does not display correctly on my character sheet, instead defaulting to the hit stats of the base weapon.
For example, the base weapon is 1d8+3 damage, but the magic item provides an additional d8 and 2 white damage, so that the character sheet should display 2d8+5.
Is this an issue of the tool? If not, how can I get the damage modifier to accurately adjust on the character sheet?
Also, is there a way to add a bonus to the attack roll for that item only, without having it apply to all weapon attack rolls on my sheet?
Like items such as Flame Tongue, additional damage does not show in the attack section, only the base damage.
Okay so I am just noticing this too, not sure how it took so long. I do hope this is going to change. Flame Tongue I sort of understand because it needs to be flaming to make it happen, but with Frost Brand it just always does the extra damage so it should be included in the listing. If the description is the only place that will show the extra damage, why is there a place to put the information in the homebrew to have it separate?

I also am having an issue, I am creating a Magical Shortsword +2 and where do I add the +2 to hit and damage on the actual weapon I am creating as I wish to make the weapon public once it is done, I just want to have that in there.

The new character sheet looks REALLY good. I am hoping that the issue of dis[layign additional damage is fully addressed on there! :)ny wor
Any word as to whether this issue is being addressed. I'm trying very hard to make a non-weapon magical item that gives a bonus to damage accross the board. Seems like it should be simple but I still can't find any way to make it reflect in the character sheet.

In the Attacks box, you can click on an attack and customize attack bonus and damage.

Yes I fully agree that the listing should show all damage types.
