A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"I could slip through here to the northern room (16) then make my way around to the ledge area where the mud pack was dug out (23) and drop a rope down to skirt most of the water and work our way from there to the larger cavern (24)?" Sila suggests. "If you all would feel more comfortable, maybe Artemis could scout the way ahead to make sure it's clear for me if its ok with Lucy?"

" No problem. Artemis, did you hear that? Go ahead and take a look" The white owl flies away from Sila. Gliding through the large chamber (23) and entering the corridor (24) that the adventurers haven't explored yet. As always, Artemis is very cautious. Whenever finds a corner, she lands on the ground and has a peek before wings in there.
The party retrace their steps through the troglodyte den and into the sepulcher area.
Artemis flies off with a soft flutter of wings and into the darkness. Lucy’s eyes go white as she looks through her familiar’s point of view.
Artemis reports that the slope leading up to the right-hand path from the large chamber (24) seems to have two motionless snake-like creatures attached to it. He heads up the left corridor and hits a fork. Taking the right fork he finds that it opens up in a large irregularly-shaped chamber. Two troglodytes lurk at the edges of the chamber, apparently on sentry duty.
Branching off from the large chamber is a path to the west which heads towards the stirge chamber, a wooden door to the north east, a passageway east that leads to a dead end and two corridors south – one which Artemis used to enter this room and another which seems to branch off to a separate room before rejoining a fork in the road.
Artemis returns to you and lands on a sepulcher, awaiting instruction or something amusing to observe.
"So in short… To the right path, we will meet two snake-like creatures. To the left, more troglodytes." Lucy blinks her eyes. Her pupils lose the white glow and return to their emerald green color. "Now, tell me. Snake or lizard, which flesh do your weapons want to taste?" The bladesinger touches her rapier and asks her friends.
Garavant considers Lucy's question for a moment. "Which one has the most treasure?"he asks rhetorically. "From what we've seen, these troglodytes don't have much beyond silver. And they reek to the heavens. I'm curious about these snakes."
"Yes, the snakes. Are they real or statue-like? Can you show me what they look like?" Sila inquires of Lucy hoping for additional visual use of her illusionary talents to see if any of them might know what they could be.
(The snake creatures were almost indistinguishable from the rock according to Artemis. Based on the description and the environment, everyone is welcome to make a Nature at disadvantage in order to determine what they are)
Most of the group are nonplussed about the creatures, but Sila has encountered them before.
@Sila:
You recognise the creatures as 'gricks', subterranean hunters. They tend to lurk unseen and attack prey when it wanders near, although they are mobile. They are also known to accumulate piles of loot from their kills. Their thick hides are tough to pierce with conventional hand weapons

Sila eyes the snakelike things within the cavern and sighs. "I've heard of these before. Gricks, subterranean hunters, lurking unseen usually until something wanders near. They are capable of movement, but seem to prefer patience. Their hides are very tough, even our own weapons might prove difficult to pierce through it though I don't know if impossible. They are known to accumulate piles of loot from their kills from what I've heard."
Watching them waiting, she looks around for signs of any more lurking around the cavern. perception7

Garavant feels a little less than bold as Sila goes first into the water, but he knows everyone here can take care of themselves in any situation.
He looks to Lucy. "Can't the bird go a bit ahead of her and get the lay of the land for us?"

Sila knows that gricks hunt wither alone or in small packs, and cannot see any sign of any others.
