I'm looking to run an adventure that I found on Dmsguild that sounds pretty fun. It is for 4 level 1 players, and if we end up enjoying it there are a few sequels. I post only here, no Discord, and look to post about once per day. I am super chill, and would like super chill players too. I'll select 4 players sometime over the weekend and will look to start the adventure next week. Go ahead and drop your character below, I will take any official content but you'll get special consideration if you are using one of the more "vanilla" races. I like the newer ones but I just don't know as much about them. :)

Background: City Watch
A little bit of Back Story: Bridgette was a member of the Watch in the nearby city and a regular winner at the Lords archery contest for which she earned some local renown. Another member of the watch grew jealous of her popularity (and maybe a little offended by her occasional arrogance) and framed her for a petty theft from the Lords hall. Disgraced she was stripped of her rank, beaten and forced to serve a year in he cells. Once free she took to the road to earn her living as a hired bow.
Please excuse the twin stats. I dropped ones from the first lot, but if we are not doing that I rolled a second set.
Name: Helena Graymantle Race: Custom Lineage Class: Wizard (order of scribes) Background: Guild Artisan A little bit of Back Story:
Helena is a scribe and translater. She has worked in the same small office for the past several years, doing what she loves. Recently she came into contact with some old map/book/etc that has her needing to seek out something...
class: ranger (going to go hunter or monster slayer when level 3)
race: orc
background: outlander
backstory:
Nesyur Uldrurz was born into a large, warlike orc tribe. he was taught of Ilneval, and to fear Ilneval. he was trained in the ways of combat from a young age, and was told to use it to support the tribe, and follow Ilneval. however, Nesyur always preferred hunting to war. he loved to stalk animals thought the forest, staying unseen, before rushing for the kill, short swords making quick work. this earned him the nickname "wolf", which is what he goes by to this day.
when wolf was still young, giants attacked his tribe, utterly killing most of them. he was one of the few survivors, and escaped north, into a tundra where they hoped the giants could not follow them.
survival was a constant struggle against the elements: to keep warm, find food, get shelter, and everything else. wolf became the hunter for the small-close knit group of surviving orcs, hunting and finding food wherever possible.
then, the terrible happened. the giants found us. they attacked, destroying and killing. wolf barely escaped, and made his way to human civilization, with one goal: to kill giants, to get revenge.
Class: Monk (would go drunken master if we reach the level)
Background: Acolyte
A little bit of Back Story: He has grown up in a temple dedicated to Dionysus (god of wine) but after his first feast of the wine has sworn off alcohol altogether. This was not accepted in the temple, so he has learned to move like a drunkard to be able to blend in. Eventually he was found out and kicked out of the temple, and is now getting by by adventuring.
In the occasion of bad rolls may we opt for using standard array instead of the rolled value? (I ask it before seeing what I will roll in the abilities, fully expecting atrociously bad scores.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Sorry, first time rolling on here and looks like I got it wrong. Let's try that again:
141113131614
Background: Sage
A little bit of Back Story:
Fritzel is a small forest gnome living in the big city. As a librarian, who loves old tales of adventure, magical treasures and dangerous beasts, he is mostly cooped up indoors - though he finds great pleasure if getting out in nature when he can. He jovially refers to himself as a 'garden gnome' rather than a forest gnome.
Fritzel has long dreamed of living his own adventures, finding the many wonders of the worlds for himself, and then sharing them in others - not just on books but the real thing. He dreams of having his own travelling museum of curiosities - 'Fritzel Fitzblunder's Festival of Wonders'. But it is just a dream, and he is just a librarian.
That is until one day he comes across a strange old tome, buried deep under stuffy old books in a long-forgotten corner of the library. It is a book is spells. And Fritzel quickly finds that he is able to use some of the magic it contains - conjurations far beyond the simple tricks he can innately cast. This is it! Now he can become an adventurer and make his Festival of Wonders a reality! But first, he needs an adventure. And two or three good strong companions to keep him and his travelling museum safe.
And so, off he sets, with nothing but a wobbly old wooden cart, a walking cane and his new spell book, to find himself an adventure.
