Mondath is struck by Valas' attack after Evendur knocks her down. She struggles back to her feet, and attempts to flee while protecting herself against further attacks, and makes a startled face when the magic of the spell triggers a shock wave. After the last two attacks she is looking very injured. She runs 15 ft, slightly dizzily, and ends up 10 ft away from the exit (in -A3). She also places a hand over one of her ears, and says a quick prayer to Tiamat, hoping for healing. The spectral halberd hangs unmoving in the air while this happens. Healing Word: 6
Kendes charges after Mondath, attempting to prevent her escape. He thrusts forward with the spear, catching her in the back, and yanking her around to face him, he pulls it out and delivers a solid uppercut as she reels.
If Kendes has not slain Mondath, Kosef will heave a javelin off his back and attack with it. He hates dropping his sword but will do so if necessary: 6 to hit, 5 damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Need...answers." Evendur, with several wounds of his own, says to the others as he follows Mondath. "You will answer for your crimes against Greenest." He says to Mondath as he strikes her with the flat of his holy blade. Longsword:24 Damage:11 and tries to knock her to the ground again with his shield:11 Interception in case of more attacks:7
Kendes badly injures Mondath with his spear, and then does even more damage with his strike. Kosef's javelin misses her, but Evendur is able to strike her with his sword. She falls to the ground.
OOC: Was Evendur intending to knock her out or kill her? Just wondering because you mentioned him using the flat of his sword.
Kendes nods at Evendur and the others in gratitude. "Thanks... I wasn't ready to face Cyanwrath again. He would have ended me if not for the rest of you." He lifts the mask off of his face and takes a deep breath. "We might need answers, but we also need to bind and gag her and find those eggs first," he continues, sweating and wiping some blood -- much of it his own -- off of himself. "If they're still here, they're the greatest danger of all."
Kosef watches the caster. He approaches slowly and binds her with his rope. "I agree with Kendes. The eggs need to be found," he says. He also looks around the room, wondering is there are hidden doors or if the eggs are farther inside the mountain.
"I agree brave Kendes, well done companions. Just let me catch my breath." Evendur says and slumps down by a wall near Mondath being tied up by Kosef and tries to see to his own wounds. "I could try to get some answers out of this one if you keep watch."
(OOC: Is it possible to take a short rest with some interrogation about the location of the eggs and such, or should we press on immediately? The eggs are important but if they are about to hatch we need all our strength right?)
The large room has many smoothed stalactites and stalagmites which have been transformed into columns. The walls have also been smoothed, and carvings of dragons have been etched into them. In the northwest corner, a large five-headed dragon is depicted. It is rising out of a volcano, and makes all the other dragon images seem small compared to it. The other dragons seem to be flocking towards it. Paints have been applied to the carvings to try to represent the different dragon types. A locked chest sits on the floor underneath the giant five-headed carving. A narrow passage way leads out to the northwest, and a wider passage way leads east.
OOC: It is possible to take a short rest and do some interrogating.
"I'm tired and cranky right now... perhaps the interrogation is better left to the rest of you." Kendes makes a half-hearted search of the corpses for weapons, valuables, and clues. And possibly a key. Investigation: 7
Afterwards, he binds his wounds and takes a breather: 4hp recovered, 21/24 now
Then he approaches the locked chest, inspecting it for traps: Investigation 14 If the coast seems clear to him, he tries to pick the lock on the chest: Thieves' Tools 19
Evendur rests by the wall (21 hp recovered) while seemingly having an inner conversation with mighty Torm, and then gets to work with interrogating the prisoner, waking her up unless she already has done that. "Your service to Tiamat is over Mondath, I don´t expect her to tolerate failure so you might as well cooperate with us now and it will be taken into account as you are judged for your crimes against Greenest. Tell us of the rest of the caves, its inhabitants, traps and where we can find the dragon eggs we know you are keeping here. Speak quickly or I will leave you in the hands of my companions." Evendur says with a stern voice looking Mondath in the eyes. Intimidation hopefully with the help of Kosef looming over Mondath with his executioners blade: 25
(OOC: Evendur would have gagged Mondath before resting unless anyone else had done that.)
Kosef does indeed stand above Mondath while she is prone. He leaves the sticky blood of her allies on his sword and will wait to clean it until she has answered Evendur. "We have authority from the governor. We act on behalf of the person who's town you destroyed and who's citizens you slew."
Kosef also recovers all his lost hit points during the short rest.
Cyanwrath has some splint armour, a great-sword, and a spear. He has nothing else in his possession. The two cultists have their great-axes and 10 sp between them. If Mondath is searched as well, she has a holy amulet depicting Tiamat (and worth 5 gp), as well as a key. When Kendes examines the chest, he notices that some sort of wire is connected to the bottom of the chest, suggesting a trap.
Mondath makes a derisive noise when the governor and the destruction in Greenest are mentioned. "Who cares what happens to some small town? Dragons have the right to take what they please from the weak, and Tiamat is the mightiest of them all." She does seem a little nervous though, and her eyes linger on Kosef's bloody sword. After a brief pause she starts providing information. "The dragon eggs are right over there," she says, tilting her head towards the eastern passageway. "There were thirty kobolds and twenty humans guarding these caves, but I imagine you've dealt with most of them." She thinks for a moment, and then continues. "There is a trap in this room which releases some sort of acidic gas. It is connected to that chest." She points her head at the one Kendes is examining. "There were also some traps on the staircases, and one trap between the drake nursery and the large cave. The kobolds made most of the traps, though, so I wouldn't know them all. That's all I know." She watches Kosef's sword nervously, waiting for the group's response.
"Rezmir left with the treasure for Castle Naerytar," Mondath says, "It's some castle up north, in a horrible swamp. She let us keep some treasure in that chest though." She nods towards the chest again. "As for the raiding, all treasure belongs to dragons and their most faithful servants, not lesser creatures. If people were more accepting of out cult and were willing to honor the dragons, raids like the one at your little village would never happen."

OOC: Yes. Looks like I missed that. Valas can reroll to see if he does hit her.
(OOC: Oh that´s for us to keep track of I think, I´m just reminding Valas :-)

(OOC: Any other questions we would like to have answered right now?)
Kosef will ask, "Why has the cult begun raiding towns? Why not leave others in peace?"
