Having taken a quick break, Zenodor feels refreshed and is eager to go again. He checks the map and plots a path forwards. (presumably since we have to go NW and went N last time, it's now time to head W) "If everyone is ready, I suggest we move on quickly - before the Goblins dig their way in"
Pepin is ready to go and can walk upfront again, this time with his force ballista on his shoulder (for another 50min or so)

Also being underground at the end of a tunnel that has not yet been completed means he doesn't know where it will lead to in the sewers when it is completed. Itraxan guesses by the length of the tunnel and the increased number of goblins in the tunnel (there are more coming than going) that the tunnel will breach the sewers in less than a day.
Nevermind, it was worth a try. Z passes this information on to the city's defenders and tb party
Z telepathically contacts Irraxan, who should still be with the Goblins at the tunnel; i.e on the other side. "Anything to report? Are the Goblins preparing for their breakthrough?"
Also, while going through the sewers Z uses Detect Magic (at will from Eldritch invocation) just on the off chance that they come across anything magical in the sewers (perhaps some hidden magic door, perhaps a lost magic ring dropped into the gutters, etc. You never know)
Finally, as they are going through a Sewer, every so often Z will use Prestidigitation (cantrip) to clean his boots and cloak ("instantaneously clean or soil an object no larger than 1 cubic foot" might need multiple casts for a large cloak)
You begin heading west and after some time traveling the maps show you are exiting the original orderly plans and entering what is written on the map as the 'Center Ring' plans. Many of these tunnels go in whatever direction was needed at the time. You can travel a tunnel that goes Northwest if you choose, or North, or continue on West.

You can travel a tunnel that goes Northwest if you choose, or North, or continue on West.
Zenodor pauses in the junction, and looks around and at the map. Finding nothing to differentiate the paths, he suggest that they just go straight for the direction of the pumping station, i.e. North-West - unless someone has a different suggestion.

Having maps and marking your way will chalk pretty much guarantees you won't get lost down here in the sewers. You also realize that the initial design of not having any access points except within the original design sewers will make it harder for the goblins to infiltrate the city as once they gain access to the sewers they will then have to find their way from the outer design, through the middle ring, and finally into the original design to find any access points.
As you take the most direct route toward your goal you also realize that wherever the 3 goblin tunnels finally breach the sewers (all 3 coming from Westerly directions) you will have probably traveled far enough North to avoid 2 of the lower ones (at least from the viewpoint of looking at the maps), the middle and lower ones being avoided and possibly only having a chance of encountering the upper or top most one.
You come to a few T sections and even some Y sections as tunnels continue to branch off in odd directions. Each time alternating between North and West when you can't go directly Northwest. You can't help but appreciate that the goblins will have an awful time trying to find their way around down here in the sewers without any guidance.

"I agree, the pumping house should be our priority. Otherwise we may we caught up in skirmishes and miss the bigger picture. We do not want to lose the war by winning the wrong battle.
As you come to a long tunnel leading off to the West you hear the splashing and gamboling of Goblins. One of the tunnels must of breached already and at least one squad is on the move. You have detected them before they have any clue of your presence.
