"Alright, if you're sure.", the Professor stops with one arm in his sleeve and sits back down.
When Ryhunis rips her finger off to spin, the Professor sighs and rubs his temples. Those near him might hear him muttering under his breath, "I've a perfectly good randomizer in my bag, but does anyone ask me? No, of course not..."

Iris lets out a tiny noise of surprise when Ryhunis suddenly tears off her finger and instinctively raises a hand as if to do something, then thinks better of it and returns the hand to her lap. By the time she's recovered from the shock she realizes the others are staring expectantly at her for her life story."Oh! Well, erm, I'm Iris, if you hadn't figured that out already. I, um, I grew up a ways south of here in Luskan." Eve, who is sitting next to Iris and seems to have an odd fascination with her hands, might notice that her fingers are twisted together under the table in an obvious sign of nervousness. She pauses speaking for a split second, looking as if she regrets giving out that tidbit of information, then rushes out her next words as if it will make everyone forget what she just said.
"I've been living up here for about three years now. I'm a healer, mostly. I mean, I can do a few more blast-y things if I need to-" she makes a strange gesture, as if she's shooting something from her palms "-but I mainly keep idiots like these two from bleeding out."She nods towards the Professor and Maudath. Though her words are insulting on the surface, she says them with a certain fondness, and two have heard her call them that hundreds of times after they got a bit too careless and hurt themselves.
"So you are a healer, interesting, may I make a small request? Well I will make it you then decide if you accept it or not. As you can see I am not the most... organic menber of the group, yet can your magic heal me in the same way it heals others? Let´s say, could you try to heal me now? i know that me ripping of a finger, due to this... condition is the same as a scratch for you, just a bit less annoying for you. I am quite curious to see what are the results" she then looks at the professor "Take notes, this is how you do an experiment, not leaving me in a dark room for hours"
As soon as The Finger lands on Iris, Eve sits back, pulls her knees up to her chin, and cuddles her legs in front of her, looking even smaller than usual.
She looks sideways at Iris, not making eye contact but definitely watching her hands and mannerisms as she speaks, listening closely. A shy smile hidden behind her knees.
She maybe looks like a child getting another bedtime story when they know they’ve already had more than would be usual. Like if they move or breathe they might break the moment and it will be bedtime after all.

Seeming to relax significantly at the distraction, Iris smiles to Rhyunis. This, she knew how to do. "I'd be happy to try. I don't know why it wouldn't work - you're still a living being, after all." Reaching across the table, she asks,"May I?"With her consent, she'll take the golem's stone hand and place it gently between her own. Closing her eyes to focus better, a soft white glow emanates from her fingertips as she casts cure wounds.

"Nice it works, kinda, it gives me energy to restore, it just works. The Finger show us the next!" "it works very very interesting, she definitly is someone to take care of, really don´t want anything bad happening to the one person who can recover my strenght" she thought She spins and "Big guy your turn, next ones you spin too tired to do it"
The Professor gives Maudath a grin when Iris calls them idiots, then rolls his eyes at Ryhunis's admonishment. "I said, 'if you can't stay out from underfoot, just wait in the backroom', you're the one who can't stay put, it's like having an enormous stone cat!"

Maudath's eyes light up at the sight of the stew and ale.
"Nice. Very nice," he says, reaching for a bowl with one hand while passing 8 silver to the server with his other. Then he pauses and tosses out another silver to the server. "If you see Hruna or any of the other dwarves in the group come down, would appreciate it if you point them our way for a bit of a chat."
Stew already in his mouth, and ale washing it down, he finally registers that Ryhunis has asked a question of him.
"Not much to tell really. My family and I traveled around a lot. Festivals, and weddings, and things like that. The Copperblossom Cavalcade and Curiosities show. Bits of music, and dance, a little magic. Not like Iris here, you know. Real magic with cards and things. And some feats of strength."
He finishes the stew and his ale and looks around for more.
"I handled the strength bits mostly, being the biggest and all. Lift things. Let the local tough boys challenge me to a wrestling match and the like. Not a bad life. But not everyone appreciates some aspects of the act and we had to leave our last stop in a bit of a hurry. Dad thought it would be safest to split up and regroup once tempers died down a bit."
He sighs and shrugs.
"I'd never really seen anyone like me before so I thought I'd head north and see what I see. Mostly seen a lot of people that can use a good thump on the head, which occasionally leads to getting the odd scratch. The smallest of scratches really," he looks over at Iris. "Almost not even worth mentioning."
Then he breaks out into a loud roaring laugh.
"Who am I kidding? Without little Iris here sticking back in the bits that should be in and knitting it all back up I'd have been a dead idiot long ago."

As Iris heals Ryhunis, Eve shies away from her a little, like someone being overly careful around someone carrying something very hot, or letting firecrackers off. She squirms back into her seat as Iris reaches past her across the table, but tries not to let this show...

Having said that, she’s genuinely amazed at the results. Then she listens enthralled with Maudath’s story. She’s heard it a bunch of times before already, but she can’t help looking proud as he tells it again.
After hearing Maudath´s story Ryhunis looked at the professor and said "Miau" "You forgot to sp... aahh leave it miau" She picks it up again and spins The Finger, and it points at her, she then slowly moves her hand to rotate The Finger a bit more pointing now to the professor "Your turnProfessor miau"
Seeing Maudath practically inhale his food and drink, Iris slides her ale across the table to him with a knowing smile and shake of her head. She listens to the story with mild interest, though she's heard it before. She shoots him an unimpressed look when he mentions his 'small' scratches, but his grin is contagious and she can't hold it for long.
"You're lucky I even found you that first time. You could have been in that ditch for days before someone else came along, and by then you'd have gotten frostbite or been eaten by wolves."
Maudath gives Iris a wink as a thank you for the ale.
"They'd have gotten indigestion long before they could have finished me off," Maudath says while taking a swallow of the ale. "But your aid was, and still is, greatly appreciated. I'd make a toast to hopefully not needing any of your healing help again, but depending on what these dwarves say when they finally get down here, I suspect I might need a touch, just a wee touch mind you, over the next couple of days."
He then looks over at Eve with a smile.
"And with this squirmy scamp around, I'd wager we'll be getting into trouble sooner rather than later," he says with another big laugh as he drains the rest of the ale, shifting his weight carefully in the chair to give the professor his attention in case he feels like answering Ryhunis.
Eve gives Maudath a proper dead-arm punch in the tricep, “Hey!! Who’s squirmy?! .. ...Pfff! Besides, it’s my ‘squirming’ that keeps us OUT of trouble, more often than not!!... Mostly.....“.
She thinks for a second, ”Hmm.. okay, maybe not the last time! ...but mostly!”.
”Ha! Nobody’s perfect! Ahah!...”. Eve chuckles to herself for a bit, but then listens politely when the professor speaks.
"Poor wolves would have had a terrible case of indigestion indeed!"
"My turn, hmmm? Well, I doubt you've the patience for the full story, but I've been in the Ten Towns for the last five years on a sabbatical and research expedition, kind of got fed up with big city life and needed a quieter place to work on some writing and a few research projects I could never find the time for. Ended up here, pursuing a lead on a study I was looking into... though I didn't expect it to be five years, I was thinking I might be here a year tops, but that study led into another, into another. Important research, you understand! Might just change the world, no matter what those fools think... Anyway, where was I... yes, just been working on projects, inventions and experiments. Folks here get a bit testy when unexpected outcomes occur, but not nearly the way the university administration gets bent out of shape when one needs to petition for a new lab and lab assistant... Oh, he survived, just quit the next day."

"well at least i won´t be the only one to be on the front line" she thought "Well since it pointed at me, bad things happen i am now inside a golem, Eve it´s your turn" "I do wonder, a girl who got tired of her rich house? Someone with a wierd prophesy? I can only wonder what´s her story, she clearly has something hidden, I doubt she will say it all but it might give me an idea" she thought while smiling even though it was impossible to see it since she was inside the golem
Eve is well into enjoying her stew and chewing a tasty morsel of something when Ryhunis invites her to tell her story. She swallows hard with a little difficulty, looking around the faces of the party, and picks up her ale and takes a sip, to help her food go down, while looking around the party again...
Eventually she manages, ”Oh me?... Uhh, oh, I’m not very interesting!...”. She shakes her head and looks down. Then looks up and around, at the faces expecting a story.
Giving in, she says simply, ”Well, I was born here. Here in town. Raised by my mum”. She looks a little happy and a little sad. “We’ve got a...“, she shakes her head, “She’s.... ..I’ve.. My house. A few blocks down”. She fake-smiles and nods her head.
”Mostly I try and make ends meet. I take jobs as they come. I try to help out....”.
”I like to cut loose when I can”, she gives everyone a big genuine smile, “That’s it.... just your average girl”. As she says that last bit you get the impression she doesn’t believe the ‘average girl’ bit really.
She looks at Maudath or the professor to bail her out.
And then over to the stairs to see if the Dwarfs are coming yet.
"Ahem, yes, Eve has been a great help before. She's kept me for accidentally starving myself when I'm so engrossed in a project I forget to eat! She's assisted in the lab a bit, and has helped me out running errands. Why, she helped me finalize the current design of 'Wibblepingle's Fantastic Fire Flinger'! Her being partly fire-proof was a great boon.", he pats the bronze tube holstered at his side.
Iris chuckles."Honestly, I'm glad you didn't ask for my help with that one. I saw the burn marks on your floor afterwards, they weren't pretty." Turning to Eve, she asks conversationally, "So, what is it that you can do? Wield a blade? Cast spells? A bit of both?"Though she suspects she already knows the answer, she's curious what Eve will say.
She sighs
"No it´s ok, sorry, i over reacted" if asked she would always say that she only had 3 friends, Toram, Seras and Magistratus, but she slowly started to enjoy the company of the professor aswell
She then sit down as confortably as she could
"Screw it" she rips a finger off and puts it on the midle of the table, then her body completly healed giving her a new finger as she decreased a few cm
After putting it on the table she spins it until it lands where Iris was
"So the finger decided, what´s your story?"
