You all find your respective spaces and the night passes without any incidents. You wake to a blustery cold morning and a very light snow is falling as you all make your way to the Professor's house.
The Professor helps Eve get a spot cleared off, and Ryhunis settled in to her customary spot for her golem body to be able to remain inactive, and turns in as well after a bit of reading.

Iris's face softens into a smile, though there's a hint of sadness to it. "She reminds me a bit of mine, too. Has the same energy."Her voice is barely above a whisper, so that only Maudath and maybe the Professor can hear. And then, realizing for the second time that night she's said something she maybe shouldn't, she mutters something half-intelligible about needing to leave and not getting into too many fights and is quick to make her exit.
The next morning she sits in the small pocket of order she's created within the chaos of the Professor's living room and makes sure all of her belongings are in order while she waits for the others to arrive.
As Iris whispers, the Professor gives her an empathetic look and pats her hand gently before harrumphing and suggesting that they bundle up and turn in.

"aahh finally i can actually talk more openly, BigGuy "sorry but when she creates a nickname for someone she won´t let it go... ever" you should had requested a better deal, we could had gotten sooo much gold!!" She imitates a sigh sound"Doesn´t matter, and professor, tomorrow I would like to talk with you, in private" she trusted a bit of the others more yet not fully trusted them yet, better to be safe then sorry "You guys go to sleep, i need to think about some... things, one of the nice things of not beeing able to sleep, alot of time to think... yay i guess"
Maudath drags himself out of bed and out into the main room of the Northlook, blinks a few times, shakes his head, then heads outside. He finds the nearest snow bank and stick his head deep into it. While his head is buried he let's out a roar, and though muffled by the snow, it can still be heard down the street.
He pulls his head back out, laughs, and shakes his arms and shoulders out.
"There, that's better." he says to himself.
He scrounges up whatever passes for breakfast in the Northlook then makes his way to the professor's home and bangs on the door. While waiting for a response he looks up into the dark sky.
Like every morning, Eve wakes up and checks the diagram on the floor for anything that’s moved, any tiny footprints, if the blood drip is gone, if the candle has burned down or if it was put out, any smudged chalk, etc. She also looks around and calls “Ipkiss?…”, quietly once or twice.
If there’s nothing to see or hear, she tidies everything up, rubs the diagram out, and flaps her rug back over the floorboards.
She dresses, gets a meagre bite to eat, and calls back upstairs, “Mum?… … I’ll be out all day!… … I should be back tonight or maybe tomorrow….” ((no answer)).
She pulls her snow things on, gathers her gear, and heads out…
Eve heads out after a restful night. She makes her way to the professor’s house, by a circuitous route, and hides in her snowdrift minor illusion across the road for a little while.
After a bit, she sees Maudath approaching. She watches him enter, then drops the illusion and heads over herself, knocking on the door and then entering.
By the time Maudath and Eve arrive, Iris has cleared off a circle of space on the floor and is sitting there, legs crossed and hands resting on her knees, palms upward. Her eyes are closed, and her face seems peaceful. A small cloth is spread on the ground in front of her, maybe a foot wide, and it's littered with small items - leaves, pine needles, a single pressed flower, some crumbs of a pastry. In the center of it all is a silver amulet depicting a wreath of grain and flowers. The Professor and Maudath have likely seen her go through this tiny ritual dozens of times, always early in the morning.
When the others enter, she glances up and acknowledges them with a small nod, then returns to her meditation.
Eve enters, kicks off her boots and coat, and attempts to offer another double-high-five to Maudath again “Morning…”.
Then she notices Iris, acknowledges her glance, and watches her for a second or two, a peaceful expression washing over her own face too, as if she is experiencing the other tiefling’s meditation through empathy alone.
A few seconds later she sits a small distance away from Iris and adopts the same position. Then she studies her little collection of trinkets and uses minor illusion to duplicate it in front of herself exactly.
She studies Iris’s face for a second or two, then a little longer… And eventually (completely un-ironically) adopts the same peaceful look and closes her eyes too.
She stays this way, increasing her calm, until disturbed (occasionally opening one eye and peeking over at Iris every now and then).
"Vulgtmnah, i mean good morning, did you sleep well, at least well enough to fight a huge beast who can take away one of your arms with a swipe?" she said while showing her spirit form on the top of the golem and smiling "We still have The Finger if necessary we can.... throw it at him? Maybe he will go fetch it like a puppy"
After a couple minutes, Iris opens her eyes and begins collecting up the items. The amulet is placed back around her neck and tucked into her shirt. A couple are wrapped carefully in the cloth and placed in her satchel. The rest, she gathers up in one hand and scatters into the fireplace.
Tugging on her boots, gloves, and cloak, she turns back to face the others. She glances first at Ryhunis - "Hopefully we won't encounter a yeti at all. If we do, I hate to say it, but brute force might be more effective than trickery or negotiation." And then to the group as a whole -"Is everyone ready to leave, then?"
"Unless there's time to stop for second breakfast," Maudath says, "I'm ready to get going."
He adjusts the greatsword at his back and the two short swords at his sides so they're unencumbered by the rest of his gear, picks up his snowshoes and moves to the front door, and holds it open for the others.
"I had a general that had the same sense of humour as you Iris, he was called Sadness, and i can say, it was an understatement to call him that" She said while looking and pointing at Iris she then looked at Maudath "Ooohh but i was so exicted to not eat my second breatkfast" she showed a sad face" Will there be at least a second and third lunch? Can´t wait to not eat those aswell" and did silent and small claps at the second sentence
"Blast! There's always time for tinkering, Eve m'dear! The concentrated tea infuser went on the fritz, there's regular strength in the urn there. Left over pastries in the breadbox, though they might be a bit stale. Ryhunis, I've got a new formulation of the de-icing salve to try, it's in the beaker by the couch. I'll be out in a minute!"
There's a bit more sounds of banging and clattering, and a few minutes later the Professor emerges triumphantly with a pair of modified snowshoes. They are connected by a series of linkages and straps to a wide belt, and have a pair of handles that stick up from each one, the left handle modified to accept his socketed left arm. Those of you who have been on the receiving end of his inventions are probably relieved that there doesn't seem to be anything explosive or otherwise hazardous that he's done to them.
"I swear if i wasn´t made out of metal I would had died several times already just living in the same house as you" she said while walking backwards looking at him, almost falling due to tripping on a book laying around and she did a small grunt "I could had used that anti-ice salve before i died but yay i guess we maybe have it now" she thought to herself "sooo what direction are we heading again? Because i am just gonna follow you all, one of you better know the way to the area where the sleed was because i don´t!"
((if i put things in bold it´s outloud, if not then it´s just her thinking to herself btw))

Before the others leave, Maudath leans in to answer Iris’s question.
”No. Her size, enthusiasm, and warm heart remind me of my sister.”
