(I am going to preface this with the fact that surprise is fairly badly documented in the game. The way I am running it is that the only way each individual enemy gets surprise is if that enemy beats all of your passive perception DCs. If so that enemy will have surprise on the entire party. If they do not meet or beat that DC, then they do not have surprise.)
As you enter the chamber, the door soundly closes, actually shoving anyone not inside the rest of the way in. Before you can react to this motion bursts forth from behind the various tapestries...
The hulking brutes that come rushing on the attack stand well over 7 feet tall, weigh in at nearly 350, or more, pounds, and each wields a massive weapon in their harry fists. Some sort of russling gave away the locations of a couple of them, prior to them bursting out, but a few took the entire party off-guard...
The following 4 bugbears rush out to attack, as their round with surprise... BU7... Moves to attack T.A.N.K. Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 21 piercing damage. (add 18 if a crit.)
BU1... Moves to attack Keye. Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 piercing damage. (add 13 if a crit.)
BU9... Moves to attack T.A.N.K. Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 piercing damage. (add 12 if a crit.)
BU8... Moves to attack T.A.N.K. Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 piercing damage. (add 18 if a crit.)
We'll say the tapestries are no longer blocking view, and that the entire room is open now, maybe they fell to the ground as the bugbears rushed out to attack. Regardless, both doors are closed, and you have ten rampaging bugbears to deal with, several of them already in melee. This is considered a medium encounter for your level...

Keye reels momentarily from the massive impact and damage. Seeing no tactical advantage in moving, he fights for his life, using only his bare hands...
Action:
Unarmed strike 1: 10 for 6 bludgeoning damage, if successful
Unarmed strike 2: 11 for 9 bludgeoning damage, if successful
Bonus action (Flurry of Blows):
Unarmed strike 1: 27 for 6 bludgeoning damage, if successful
Unarmed strike 2: 26 for 8 bludgeoning damage, if successful

Keye's attacks mostly are either dodged or simply bounce off of the bugbear's fur-covered arms. One lands hard enough to make it grunt in pain though. (only hit one time, ac is 16.)
The following move and attack...
BU6 moves to attack Olivier. Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 piercing damage. (add 6 if a crit.) BU2 moves to attack Keye ... Morningstar. Hit: 10 piercing damage. (add 11 if a crit.) BU9 sidesteps, flanking T.A.N.K. with BU6 now, then attacks T.A.N.K.... Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 18 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 piercing damage. (add 9 if a crit.) Map
Next up: Buni Olivier 3 1 Gunnar T.A.N.K. 4 10 7 Aruzhal
T.A.N.K. catches the first two strikes on his shield, then as the third looks to be getting through, rumbles, "No thank you."
An orange glowing barrier lifts off his armor an inch or so in all dimensions, and the attack slides off of him. More move to attack him, one of which gets through despite his extra protection.
"Damage sustained."
Shield brings AC up to 27 for the round, but the Nat 20 is still a hit, though the extra crit damage is negated by his adamantine armor, so he takes a total of 11. (Without shield and the armor, would have been 47. Yikes!)
((Missed where you said they had surprise, I took the disclaimer to mean they didn't. But if they all beat his Passive Perception of 16, then T.A.N.K. can do nothing but take damage...))
OOC: T.A.N.K. can only use reactions after Keye took their action above. The bugbears that went before the monk were using surprise. The ones aftre the monk are using their normal actions now, in initiative order. Even though there is not suppose to be such a thing as a ‘surprise’ round any longer, that is pretty what those first bugbears got, regardless of the more appropriate term for it now.
Buni sighs from a moment, then raises his maul to attack. Right before he smashes it down, he takes a moment to unsteady his breathing, taking as much air as possible with every breath - he'll need his muscles working harder. As he does so, the dolls on his pack rattle a bit, is it your imagination? They seem to have grown hairs on their bodies. No, you probably just didn't notice it.
Buni swings his maul down on the monster in front of him, then follows with another strike against it - or another if it died already.
BA: Rage.
Attack vs BU9: 15 Damage: 14.
Attack vs BU9 (or BU2 if 9 is dead): 25 Damage: 7.
Olivier snaps into focus, steadying himself against the onslaught (Fighting Spirit). Dropping his bow and drawing his rapier, he takes makes two thrusts, steels himself to action (Action Surge) and thrusts twice more.
Gunnar weaves a pattern in the air with his weapon casting Green-Flame Blade and a ghostly green flame wraps itself around the battleaxe. He attacks the Bugbear to his immediate front.
Weapon Attack 17 to hit. Hit: 6 slashing damage. Additional 8 fire damage as flames surround the creature.
On a hit, green fire arcs toward the Bugbear in front of Keye, causing 12 fire damage.
They swing their warpick down repeatedly on the bugbear that hit them last (BU3), switching to the one beside it (BU9) if they manage to drop their first target.
Warpick Attack: 17 Damage: 7
Warpick Attack: 9 Damage: 12
Action Surge:

Gunnar slashes into a powerful brute, sending fire scorching into the beast's thick fur. Flames then spread to the one near Keye, singeing that one horribly and making it squeel in pain. Several of the other bugbears chuckle in amusement as that one cries out.
T.A.N.K. slashes into the bugbear who most recently struck him, doing damage, but the massive brute just grins as blood runs down it's pelt. It seems working to not give any sign of pain after the last one squeeled so much like prey.
BU4 moves and attacks Buni... Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 piercing damage. (add 9 if a crit.)
BU10 moves and attacks Buni... Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 piercing damage. (add 11 if a crit.)
BU7 attacks T.A.N.K... Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: 6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 piercing damage. (add 6 if a crit.)
Aruzhal swirls as wind picks them up, moving them to another spot, where the dragonborn looses a blast of freezing cold at three of the bugbears. The first two in the line crust over with ice, taking the full hit of the cold, while the last is only slightly coated, ducking behind the othre two to keep from taking the full blast. (One of them saved, the other two did not.)
Gunnar will move in the hallway third, just behind Tank and Buni, looking for threats within the room.

Updated Map
Aruzhal surges with wind as he propels himself out of the middle of the chaotic battle. Pointing toward BU6 he marks it as his prey.
(Hunter's Mark on BU6 with Storm Sorcerer's Tempestuous Magic to move to B4).
He then opens his mouth as his breath turns frigid, a howling blizzard firing from his maw.
(White Dragonborn Breath Weapon - 9 cold damage, DC 13 CON save for half. Aimed in a cone to hit BU6, 7, and 8 without hitting any allies.)
Aruzhal swirls as wind picks them up, moving them to another spot, where the dragonborn looses a blast of freezing cold at three of the bugbears.
