Joroden disregards the stench and leans in the opening with his light to examine the contents of the sarcophagus.

After a few more pushes you widen the opening to where you can see more. There are only 2 other items inside the sarcophagi with the remains. A plain looking book by his left side and a small oval shaped black opal lying on his chest. Neither radiate magic.
Now that the sarcophagi has been opened you can see that the remains were mummified but time has eroded most of the bindings so that much of the skeletal remains are visible. There some wrappings left on the arms and legs, and the chest where the opal rests.
The strong stench of decay that can come from only centuries of death and rot leave a putrid, cloying taste in your mouth.
At about this time you hear the sounds of Loyal's metal armor approaching and wonder why he took so long to join the rest of the you...
...then you remember he has always been wearing leather armor since you first met him.

You both enter a much grander chamber which is 80 feet by 80 feet, directly ahead across the chamber is another archway. Along each wall, left and right, are more archways leading deeper into the crypt. About 8 on each side.
Across the chamber, nearer to the archway, are 3 skeletons in armor carrying swords. When you enter they stop, turn around, sheath their swords and draw their bows.

Vaden, not seeing the item he is interested in, steps back from the coffin, willing to let Evre be the first to grab the book, as that seems to be along the lines of why she came here. Hearing the warning of someone approaching, Vaden steps away from where the sounds are coming from, to give room, then turns to be prepared for more combat.

Joroden gently lifts the opal off the corpse and places it in his pocket.
"A disappointment, to be sure. I was expecting an item of great magic to be interred with such a man, but I suppose it was not meant to be. I can only hope we have not yet discovered everything there is to be found in this crypt."
Noticing the clank of Loyal's new armor mixed with the skeletons' clattering, he prepares for battle and rushes to help out.

To the corpse, Evre says some words in elvish (in spoiler) A ghostly hand appears and lifts the book out of the sarcophagus, (Mage hand) delicately placing it into her waiting arms. “I hope this is the knowledge We seek”
(Sorry notifications seemed to be off for me again today)
On hearing the noise of battle, she wraps the book in a fine linen cloth and puts it gently in a pouch, and readies her staff.

Horxik shifts his head quickly to the side to dodge the arrow that comes soaring at him before reaching for his wand and flicking his wrist to send a gooey spray of webbing into the area that the skeletons are in. He holds his ground, not moving forward or backward, just staring the skeletons down with unnerving focus.
