Daewen (disguised as a Drow chef) heads into AREA 2 from AREA 3b and AREA 3c.
AREA 2
Banners dominate all four walls of this chamber, each prominently featuring a spider on the back of an eight-fingered hand. In each corner of the room burns a brazier, the flames of which cause shadows within the room to flicker and dance as if alive.
A massive, hulking spider that seems to be made of pure shadow energy descends from one of the walls, fitted with armor and seemingly bred from some of Eldritch imagination. On it's body, iridescent light courses inside it's body. It observes you with eyes not from nature from a distance, carefully, but nothing more.
On the wall are cloak racks. Six cloaks are here, hanging. Visually, they are gorgeously made with magic silver thread across a sheer black surface, as if black living shadow itself could be made into a cloak.
The spider watches you intently. Choose your next move CAREFULLY.
Not seeing any Drow to serve food to, DroDaewen slowly backs out of room 2, acting embarrassed like they got confused and brought the meal to the wrong room.
Returning back to the kitchen, DroDaewen sets the food bowl down on a counter, whips out her blank notepad, and begins to draw a diagram of what she just saw in room 2, including details of the massive spider.
She then shares the diagram with the rest of the team.
Kasha looks at the diagram. Her eyes bug out for a moment. She looks at Daewen confused. "Why did you draw a penis on the wall? That's gross. You even drew hairs on the balls."
Neph rolls his eyes and covers a laugh. He sends a message to DroDaewen, “What do you want me to tell them? They can’t see the clear instructions in your artwork and Kasha is... vulgar.” He again stifles a smile.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
From rote, Daewen recites back to Neph what she remembers of the other room:

Oh, and tell Kasha there IS a giant , hairy penis on the wall that's going to attack her...
Neph repeats all of this information back to the group, emphasizing the part about the giant hairy penis to Kasha. "I don't think we want to tangle with the giant spider or the hairy penis. Perhaps we need to try a different room."

Arora had been quiet through the whole interaction that had happened.... the mention of 'milking' Zhi's fangs made her chuckle inside but on the outside she simply face-palmed shaking her head at such a suggestion. The visual thought of them trying 'milking' Zhi was a bit humorous though.
Kasha keeps eating as you all throw out ideas. "Oh, shit, is that cheddar?"
"Ooo, are there any crackers or wine to go with the cheddar?!"
Arora has a concerned look as they send a disguised Daewen into the next room. Something just didn't feel right about it.... she wanted to argue that this wasn't a good idea but also knew that it was their best chance at scouting the area out a bit. When Daewen comes back a short while later, she breathes a sigh of relief that her friend is back unharmed. She watches as Daewen starts to try to communicate and draw what she saw in the other room.
"What the heck are you trying to tell us? Is that a hairy ball on the wall?" she asks pointing to the odd spider shape that was drawn.
Neph repeats all of this information back to the group, emphasizing the part about the giant hairy penis to Kasha. "I don't think we want to tangle with the giant spider or the hairy penis. Perhaps we need to try a different room."
"Agreed, let's try a different room.... but this time, Neph, you need to stay in constant communication with Daewen... we don't need her being apprehended and us not knowing because we can't hear her."

Raza had been lost in her own internal conversation that involved a lot of muttering, hand gestures, a few laughs and a grumble or two as the team planned their next move. As Daewen came back into the kitchen her head swung in that direction. "Oh, she's back? Very well, but this discussion isn't over."
She stifles a giggle at Kasha's comments, and then shudders when it becomes clear it's a giant spider. She nods vigorously at the suggestion of trying another room.
Doc was relieved to see Daewen's quick return, though that relief quickly turned to concern at the mention of the large hulking spider (in-between sighs for the party's continued immaturity of course). The spider seemed to ping something for his patron as he could feel their burning desire to have it destroyed a quickly as possible. The sensation was nearly overwhelming and it wasn't until Doc was almost at the exit Daewen had just returned from that he caught himself and stopped himself short. That was too close... he thought to himself concernedly before composing himself and turning back around to face the Squad. "Good work Daewen, thank you for gathering that information. We have a bit of an issue now. I don't know what that creature is, but if it's remotely sentient and intelligent, it might go and tell someone about the strange encounter it just had and our cover would be blown pretty quickly; it might've done that already to be honest. On the other hand though, that creature sounds particularly evil and should probably be destroyed, so maybe it'd be best to just get it over with now. Either way, we need to decide fast what we're going to do. Keep exploring and eventually get found out (potentially in a less advantageous situation, or Stay and fight (but at least we control our own destiny.)" Doc then looked to each member to get their vote before moving forward.
After making direct, spiteful eye contact with Nephvir as Zhisshikassa produces enough venomous spit to make a difference, Zhi's expression only sours at the party's immaturity. HQ would be receiving word of this moment. Only Zhi was probably capable of saying 'mission report: allies drew phallic diagrams instead of paying attention' without smiling. Well, Zhi never really smiled.
"If they eat the salad and feel sick, they will know something is amiss. The spider, in all probability, is a guard. They will call it to arms. I suggest we silently dispatch of as many threats as we can before being inevitably found out,"Zhi suggests, attempting to put this conversation back on the rails. He nods in appreciation towards Doc. At least one person was thinking.
In his method of expressing thanks, he winds another bit of magic around Daewen and bestows her with another guidance, should she be scouting any further.

Neph starts nodding repeatedly at this part. “This was what I felt about the Gargoyles. I don’t like leaving evil behind me, if you know what I mean. But when I suggested it (perhaps in my irreverent manner, he says under his breath), I was castigated. But coming from you, everyone pays attention...”
”Nevertheless, I think it is helpful to map out this area, scout out what we can, so that when we make noise, help won’t come rushing in from the next room. Quiet, one at a time. Daewen, are you up for another run?”

Daewen draws a diagram of a half elf getting its head bit off by the spider, then draws an arrow pointing to the half elf and writes "Kasha". Kasha gives you a "really, dude?" look.
"I don't think we want to tangle with the giant spider or the hairy penis. Perhaps we need to try a different room." "Yeah, Daewen."
"Ooo, are there any crackers or wine to go with the cheddar?!" Kasha points to the next counter. Crackers!
Neph keeps messaging her back and forth, "Ok still" "Yeah", "Doing ok?" "Yeah", "Anything yet?" "No", and so forth. The crew stays ready to rush to her aid.

Mock stares at the door that has the giant spider on the other side. She saw Doc getting closer to it and watched with narrowed eyes. She'll go smash a spider if he charges in there, she guesses. She's got Doc's back after all. But gods, she really hopes they can avoid that. Little spiders are terrible enough - big spiders? No thanks. She gives a little shudder at the very thought.
Scooping up a bread roll and stuffing it into her mouth whole, Mock hops up onto one of the counters. "We're all healed and rested up," she says with a little shrug as she knocks her heels against the cabinets. "Why don't we keep wanderin'? But, like, barricade that door or somethin' so the giant penis spider can't follow us."
"Giant penis spider. God. Now that's in my head."Kasha giggles at Spider Mock.
Daewen: You've already been in AREA 3B. This is where everyone is. When you re-enter the room, Kasha gives you a perturbed look. "Where are you going!?"
Before Daewen runs off again, Zhi calmly unloops Iskri from around his neck and holds the irritated, clearly cold snake in front of Daewen. “Hide Iskri within your clothing. A second set of eyes - my eyes - is worthwhile. I will additionally be able to cast spells on you, should you need it. I will tilt fate slightly in your favor.”
(Consider all rolls you make to have guidance as Zhi recasts it on you through Iskri when needed.)
Each of these rooms features a pair of oil lanterns hanging on opposite walls, flanking a workbench and a set of adequate tools for nearly any task. A workstation for any common trade can be found here, as well as several uncommon ones, such as a small loom and an oil press.
Where is everyone? Strange.
