the duo’s cloak clasps catch your attention despite you standing by the door. You see an engraving on the clasps of a sword stabbing through a block of ice. Your time spent studying the religious matters of Faerun is decent but not enough to give you an accurate idea of what the engraving means. It does look ominous though.
Waylin runs his hand through his beard, briefly stopping over his mouth has he recasts Thalmaturgy. He then leans back in his seat, picking up his tankard. He lifts it up and takes a long drought once more, draining it. He quickly casts charm person, dc 13, upon the red head human, as he finishes, his hand flicking under the table. The tankard echoed softly as it returned to the table.
Waylin took a deep breath, crossing his hands, "Surely you wouldn't charge a poor man such a hefty fee for a meager question. Two gold, best I can do, and even that is nothing short of a robbery."
Waylin, you charm the orange-haired man and the halfling squints at you. "The hells did you just say? Wouldn't be trying anything crazy are you? No. Six."
Waylin looks to Eleanor, "I think your friend here finds two to be rather agreeable rather than the ten copper I had offered." He turns his head and looks to the red head, "Don't you?" Waylin leans forward, his chair groaning softly as he shifts his weight forward.
Waylin, the orange-haired man nods. “Yeah... come on Eleanor, he’s bought us drinks too!” Eleanor’s eyes are akin to daggers in that they’re are quite piercing. She looks at the man and smacks her forehead lightly. “Fine. Coins first.”
"No going to be learning nothing in here." Brin says. He starts towards the door. "Want to come with me to be checking out the next one?" He calls over his shoulder to his companion.
Waylin fishes out two gold pieces from his coin purse, setting them one by one on the table, sliding them across. He then sits straight, "So this caravan, Torrga, where can I find it?"
Bryn and Gonly, the two of you leave Even Keel and enter the neighboring establishment. Inside, you find the exact same layout. The only differences are the patrons and the dwarf's characteristics who's manning the bar. You see three, presumably, off-duty guards wearing tabards with Bremen's signature teal, orange, and blue.
Waylin and Fahana, Eleanor scoops up the gold coins greedily and stuffs them into her fur-lined leather pocket. "We saw her company before we came here. Got some stuff of our own. This was back at Targos and that's the next town over if you didn't know." She stops and taps her chin to think for a second before continuing. "One of her lackeys said they were going all the way to Caer-Konig and back, some kind of through trip along the whole of Ten-Towns."
"Hey ye look to be someone who might be knowing a thing or two about who be coming and going around here." Brin says as he stomps his way over to the off-duty guards. "Me and me friend here be looking for Torrga, thinking we be just missing them, and need to be finding out where them be heading to when they be leaving here." He looks between the three guards with his own bushy eyebrows narrowed in speculation. "Buy ye a round if ye be knowing which way they be heading..." He tags on.
"Caer-Koing? This is a castle, or use to be one? Why would they trek there while on a tour of ten towns?" He took a deep breath, "Also, do you know a man by the name of Kaltro, who accompanies them?" Waylin rested his arms on the table.
Waylin, Eleanor eyes you strangely, "There IS a castle there, but it isn't JUST a castle." It seems the halfling is quite irritable. "Hmm. Well, let me see... Maybe cause it's a part of Ten-Towns?" She shrugs. "Nope. Never heard of him."
Bryn, one of the guards, a human woman, looks up at you and says, "Yeah... Think her company was here a few days ago... Not sure where they went though. Probably Targos?" She smiles after answering and says. "I'll take that drink!"
Brin frowns at the woman. "I be saying ye be getting a round, fer the table, if someone here be knowing which way Torrga be going." he glances to the others at the table. "Any of you feel a bit more sure on where the merchant might have gotten off to?"
"So be it." Brin says and waves to the barkeep. "Round of drinks fer the table." He says, and will hand over the coins. "Thank ye fer yer help." He tells the guards as he finishes paying. "Also thank ye fer yer service for the work ye be doing." With that he nods to his companion and heads for the door.

Brin, the two simply ignore your question and carry own with their business.

Fahana simply follows Waylin and listens to the rising conversation.
