Gonly continued to stare at the boats but gritted his teeth, growing annoyed at the dwarf with the finishing of the tale. "Stupid and dangerous." He commented bluntly about the attempt to make the group go fishing.
Waylin chuckles softly with Gonly and Brin's annoyance towards the whole situation. He steps forward a few feet, the snow crunching with each step, occasionally a loose pebble rolls from underfoot. He looks the half elf in the eyes, "Perhaps a better question is: we were told that this merchant group would be most likely near some docks. Are there any other piers nearby that mayhaps are more populated? It is a matter of utmost importance that we meet with them before dusk and we'd be very grateful if you could lend my compatriots and myself a hand in this matter." Waylin spoke softly with a calm and warm demeanor, his words rolling off of his tongue. He thought to himself that maybe a change of question involving the location might bring up better leads than asking solely about the caravan. He smiled at the lass, leaning in ever so slightly to bridge the distance between them.
The half-elf raises an eyebrow at Brin. "You could ask at the five taverns. Plenty of people there, maybe someone saw them there?" She answers simply.
She shifts her attention to Fahana as she questions her about the lake monster. "Yes. A lake monster indeed. However, I'm not quite sure what it is exactly. A lot of the fishermen said it's an orca the size of a whole house. The most peculiar thing I've heard was a lizard-like creature that can swim. Anyway, if you're interested in seeing it for yourself perhaps you could do me a little favor? I can't pay you in gold exactly but something else, some magic perhaps?" She sticks a hand out to Fahana. "I'm Tali by the way, a zoologist from the Zoology academy in Athkatla, and you are?"
While holding out her hand to Fahana she turns her head towards Waylin, "These are the only docks out here in Bremen, it's a pretty small town." She doesn't seem bothered by his closeness and if she was, she does not show it. "Though it would make sense for them to head east. This is the westernmost settlement in the whole of Ten-Towns, it wouldn't make sense for them to go any more west. Having said that, the closest town to Bremen is Targos."

She whips out a notebook from under her burly coat and hands it to Fahana. “I just need you to write down what you observe from the creature with as much detail as you can.” She scratches the back of her head at the latter question. “Well I have a couple of basic magical scrolls.” She taps her chin. “I believe there’s a scroll of Speak with Animals, Cure wounds, and Knock.” She stops tapping her chin. “I’ll let you have a pick if you’d like, two if you get me a really good sketch as well.”
Fahana takes the notebook while nodding her head slightly "OK, I will see what I can find out for you on this 'Lake Monster'.... but, right now I really need to tend to finding Torg's Caravan, we have some important business with them." She sticks the notebook in her pouch "where can I find you once I have some information?" she asks while putting the notebook away.

“Ah I see...” Tali replies rather disappointedly after hearing that the group has more pressing matters at hand. “You can find me at the inn should you get to it. I’ll tell Cora- I mean the innkeeper she can share my room’s location with you. Thanks... and I hope you do get around to it. Maybe you can stop the attacks on the fishermen as well.”
"I will get you information" Fahana promises "and I'll find you at the inn.'
She then turns to the others "Well, shall we head over to the five taverns and ask around?" she cups her hands once again blowing into them to warm them a bit "It sure would be a lot warmer than standing out here in the cold." she suggests.

"Brin looks up at the sky, then glances to the others. "Even if we be learning which town Torrga, and their crew, be leaving here towards, we no be likely to be following them today." (Assuming it is after midday now, if it is still morning, then I'll have to revise...) "Mayhaps we should be looking into this sea monster the folks round here be talking about... Seeming to be a waste of our time to be going and sitting in a tavern until we can be leaving in the morning..."
Brin, it is nearing the end of twilight right now (1pm). In an hour darkness will close in which lasts from 2pm to 10am. The only thing that can alleviate this darkness is the aurora and the moon if they appear.
"So what ye be thinking?" He says with a look to the others. "Do some fishing, and be seeing if we be finding this sea monster that be out there causing problems? After that be heading to the taverns and asking around about Torgga, then be getting some sleep here before heading out in the morning to be finding Torrga."

Waylin glances towards the sky, "I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I'm not too keen on finding myself in the dark and out here in the cold. I say with head to five taverns and inquire about the Torrga and this Kaltro, see if anyone knows anything about them or their location. Going out on the water at dark seems like a poor idea, come to think of it." Waylin subconsciously pulled softly at his collar, beads of sweat forming and freezing on his forehead. He reached into his bag and drew forth the bottle of liquor, taking a small swig. He glanced at Tali briefly as she walked away.
"Darkness no be a problem for me." Brin says with a frown. "Me dwarf eyes sees just fine in night, and it be night around here most time these days..." (If not doing things at night, then that means only like 4 hours of productive time each day...)
Gonly agreed with Waylin, "I do not think boarding a vessel whose previous crew disappeared into the same area we intend to go is wise-especially in the dark"
He nodded, and slowly drew his attention away from the boat to meet the group
"That, and we've already promised our services. Who we're looking for isn't out there."
"Fair enough, Tali can wait... it was just a thought.... but we best get moving then."
Tali would just have to wait or maybe she could ask around and simply gather some information about this lake monster and get back to investigating it later, that actually sounded like a good plan... besides, we did get hired by Hlin first.

Waylin nodded and turned, walking back towards the inn from which they came, his feet crunching under each weighted step. He figured that the other taverns would be located fairly close to the one that they had been at earlier. He tucked the bottle of liquor back into his bag after corking it. He glanced over his shoulder, hearing the whispering of the wind. He shivered slightly, faint echos of the past ringing softly in his ears, the anguished cries of his father...
Waylin, you’re pretty sure none of the taverns are near the inn. The inn is the last building at the south end of the town. If anything, they most likely would be at the center of the town.
