As Grishkar goes to drive the blade into the woman's belly, a net flies out of nowhere, entangling him. Grishkar, give me a DC 10 Dex save to remain on your feet. If you fail then you are knocked prone. (I am adding this as part of being surprised, as it seems apt.)
You hear some sounds from inside your chamber. The snores of Brock, the soft hissing breath of Ssej, but then something else. A loud clunk and russling from inside, while both of your companions seem to be sleeping...
Yashin is still looking at the amulet taken from the serpent-folk when a loud noise and a rustling sound coming from the room he shared with Brock and Ssej grabs his attention. Quickly rising to his feet, he flings open the door to his room and strides in, scanning for the source of the sound and any threats to his companions.

((Dex Save: 4))
Knocked from his feet by the sudden, smothering net, Grishkar quickly twists his hand within the confines to form a specific arrangement of his digits. His form melts away, and the net falls limp on the ground. Where the necromancer lay, a swirl of fog rushes out and settles further down the alley. As it coalesces into a vaguely human shape, a smoky appendage waves in a peculiar way. The mist quickly disperses once more to the ground and blows away in the breeze.

Yashin throws opent he door to find a figure standing near the window in his room he shares with Ssej and Brock. The figure glances back in surprise, but their face is hidden in a hood. Yashin does take in flowing robes of a spellcaster, just before they vanish in a puff of mist and are gone. (And, no, you don't get to counterspell this.) One other item he notices at this same time. A shield laying in the middle of the floor. It has a celestial motif and design to it. If he touches it he would feel that it is very definitely magical in nature.
Grishkar and Umeven
Umeven can hear feet moving away from where he saw Grishkar teleport to.
The human woman is looking a bit less drunkn ow, having sovered up a bit after the near death experience. She has pulled out a rapier and is glaring around, taking a defensive stance as she looks from the net to the place Grishkar teleported to. She does not move to follow though.
Yashin moves toward the window, making sure it is locked, and giving a quick glance outside to see if he can determine where the intruder disappeared to.
He returns to the shield, feeling the power radiating from it, and takes a closer look, investigating to see if he recognized the motif or origin of the shield. Investigation: 5.
He briefly considers waking Brock and Ssej, but decides to let them rest for now. There is little they can do and there will be time enough for stories in the morning. He remains in the room for the remainder of his watch, alternating his attention between the hallway and the room until it is time to wake up Ssej for his shift. Perception: 17.
Grishkar will proceed further down the alleyways for a few more turns. After a few minutes, he will maintain his arcane cloaking and sit against a building where he can bide his time until the coast is clear.

ooc: I really like the way you play Grishkar.
((Thank you! He's honestly one of my favorites, and I always aim to play him like an aspiring BBEG mixed in with the "good guys"))

Assuming Umeven can follow him unnoticed, he'll just play watchdog
((I think following the direction is easy enough. Now, finding him over the next hour will be a challenge))

We'll say the hide and seek goes on for a bit, but we'll leave it at that. Don't need to get this any more PVP than it already has been.
Yashin
There is no more disturbances during your watch. The shield is definitely not of any sort of origin you recognize.
Morning
Morning comes and everyone can wake up. Yashin, Brock, and Ssej would have a magical shield laying in the middle of their floor, with a celestial design across the front.
Kallandra rouses from her trance as the sun first slips above the horizon. She smiles at Ichika as she rises and stretches, "Good morning, Ichika. I hope your sleep was as restful as mine. Thanks for watching over me," she says in Elvish. She enjoys speaking her native tongue and so seldom gets a chance to do so.
"What do you think the day has in store for us? Something tells me it will not be as peaceful as the night was." There's no bitterness in her voice, just a calm acceptance of their mission and duty.
Let's roll initiative. See how it plays out that way.
