Durnham frowns at the note and explains it’s contents to the others.
“It seems like you were right…. There is something down here that moves With a purpose. Some kind of undead creature continues to work on a disease to kill the gods… I don’t know what kind of creature that may be… but It would be dangerous.”
Ressys turns his attention to Qidira, "How are you little one, do you need more healing? I still have some ability to aid you if it is needed."
As Durham reveals what is written in the note Ressys ears droop.
"One who works in the unnatural, a mage of sorts. It will be a deadly foe for if he raised himself to be undead then he likely still wanders here somewhere." Ressys considered out loud. "We will face more undead. That is for certain. We must cleanse this place if there is one here who wishes to kill the gods. The disease they have created is terrible."
Relieved that Qidira appears to be recovering, Brandon turns and searches through the chest. He secures his share of the gold and coins, leaving the potion for someone else. He stops when Durnham shares the contents of the letter. “Necromancy”Brandon spits out the word and looks to Ressys when he warns of facing additional undead. “Then we will have to free them from their curse and put their souls to rest.”He grips the handle of his sword tightly “and we will find and deal with the one who placed this curse on the others as well.”
He pauses “A sickness to kill the gods. The frigid woe, or something worse? They must be mad. Still, if they are continuing to work, there must be a lab or something nearby that may hold the antidote. Shall we continue on to the next room or does anyone need a rest first?”
Qidira starts to rise, then slumps to the ground again. Orvo rushes over and puts his hand to her forehead, frowning.
"I think that pack of snakes took it out of her, she's not going to be able to move on just yet. I'll get her to the first room and look after her while she rests; you carry on and pick us up on the way back"
Qidira hands the potion of advantage back to Durnham, then unshoulders the bag of holding and passes it to Brandon. Too weak to speak, she accepts Orvo's help and the pair limp back to the room where you took the chests of Frigid Woe away to be destroyed.
Durnham accepts the gear and watches the pair go. “Hold tight and rest, we will finish up in here and catch up on the way out.” He shoulders the bag and puts the potion into a pouch. He the. takes the Aeorean dagger and pauses before turning to Kotar, Brandon, and Ressys.
”This dagger is not as strong or mighty as your large swords… but it is magical. I could use it but standing in front of something and swinging a dagger is not really the best way for me to defend myself. If any of you would like to use this you’re welcome to it until Qidira returns.” Durnham holds the dagger out to them offering it to whoever of them may want to use it.
“Take care of her, Orvo.” He said with visible preoccupation. Looking back at it hadn’t been that long since he started to travel with the group, that he knew Qidira, but as far as the goliath was concerned they were friends. A chosen family of sorts. He wished for the gnome to feel better like he would for someone of his clan.
As the ranger leaves the discussion turns towards preparations for battle. They were two weaker and Durnham offered the magic dagger. Kotar was not sure he could make good use of it, besides he had the silvered maul. Not as good, but better than normal steel.
“I think you would make better use of it than I could, Brandon.” He said to the warlock, declining the offered blade. “That said, should we really try to deal with this Aeroian undead on our own? I don’t know about magic, but even for me cheating death seems like a feat that takes some level of power. Assuming this undead is not far stronger than we are I still think it would take a considerable amount of time to defeat him and time is of the essence. I think it’s better for us to focus on finding the cure and then leave.”
Ressys nods in agreement to Orvo's suggestion. "Take care of her. We'll be back soon enough. If you get stronger come find us. Just follow the trail of dead undead." Ressys grins and his ears droop showing his real concern for her.
"As for the rest of the undead, " he says to the others. " I fear we will find them or they will find us as we search for the cure. But the cure should be our primary focus. Let us carry on to the next rooms."

“Rest easy, Qidira. We will rejoin you soon.”Brandon gives Orvo a nod and hands the bag over to Durnham. He hesitates slightly before accepting the dagger. “I will hold onto it, but just until Qidira feels better. You are right though Durnham, you have more important things to do than stab someone with a dagger, magical or not.” Brandon slides the dagger into his belt, shoulders his gear, and moves back into the hallway.
The next room is not far, just outside the doorway. Brandon inspects the door for any writing or symbols and checks for any traps before testing the door to see if it is unlocked. “Maybe he keeps his room next to his lab? Let’s see.”
Brandon inspects door #1 and finds no sign of traps; it also appears to be unlocked. The only markings are two simple glyphs which, at a guess, indicate a pot and some cutlery.
Durnham places the potion in a pouch at his belt for ease of access. He follows along after the group looking for signs of magical auras on the floors, walls, ceilings, and doors.
Brandon points out the two symbols to the others “Could be a lab. Or it could be a kitchen or mess hall. Let’s see which one we get.”He grins at Durnham “Did you happen to study Aeorian food at school?”
Glancing to make sure his companions were ready, Brandon pushes the door open and looks to see what the room holds. Perception: 20. (Passive Perception:13)
Durnham scratches his head a moment. “Aeorian food? No we didn’t study their food.” He chuckles “I wouldn’t recommend eating anything left in this place though. Who knows what it’s infected with?”
Brandon swings the door open and you step through into the room beyond. Iron pots, pans, utensils, and frost-covered food covers the floor of this kitchen. A steel stove is built into the west wall.
As you stand taking in the surroundings, a sudden scraping noise alerts you to danger. Three kitchen knives spring into the air and arc towards you, ready to attack.

“The kitchen it is.”Brandon exclaims as he starts to look around the room. As the knives animate and rise up to attack he sighs and readies his shield. “Did they curse everything in this place to fight and delay us?”

Durnham takes his share of the gold and looks carefully at the strange Aeorean coins. “Interesting” he murmurs, as he slides the coin into his pouch.
”Qidira why don’t you hang onto the potion and keep it in the bag until we figure out who wants it?”
