Quip is beaming, having not performed in a group for months.
"Beautiful" she says with that kind of deflating sigh one does when you're gently, softly coming down from an emotional high to settle into a state of lightly glowing joy
While they wait to leave with the dwarves, Kane puts hit hand on Quip’s shoulder. “Thank you for the ensemble. It made the song more beautiful. I remember you from last night. Writing in the book. But I don’t think I caught your name. I’m Kane.” Holding his hand out for a handshake.
Tylaerys looks more and more impatient, obviously being eager to debark on their holy quest. "I thought the dwarves where in a hurry to be on their way. Have anyone seen Kassian this morning?" She says moving about in order to stay warm.
The dwarves ( and me ) arrives in a hurry. They have everything set up on several sledge and have a few dogs waiting curled in balls to protect themselves from the icy wind.
"Sorry about that" a red-haired old dwarf shouts over the wind to be heard." our lady here needed to go through her prayers."He moves like a sergeant, used to command, and sends the other dwarves to their sleds.
He turns toward the assembled group.
" There are three sleighs for you all. One can get on and one to drive( Animal Handling DC 14 ). The others will need to run or walk alongside as we progress. No worries, I don't plan on leaving you behind." He smiles.
"Let's go. We are already behind schedule."
He moves to one of the sled and barks orders.
"Let's go lazy bums. Time to earn a name for yourself. Mercenaries, " he howls. " Two of your sleds in front and one in the back. No worries about directions. Just follow the dogs." He finishes his sentences laughing.

For those of you wanting to try your hand at driving the dogs you'll need to roll Animal Handling DC 14. For the others, you can roleplay this as you wish. The ride takes about 6 hours before taking a break in a known spot.

"All right mercenaries, you heard Master Fireforge, get in those sleds. We can take turns riding in them. I will start walking." Tylaerys says in a somewhat commanding voice not heard earlier. She starts walking, trying to find a good pace beside the sleds.
If possible Tylaerys tries to study the dwarven maiden to see what she may conclude. Perception:7 Insight:10

Kane gets up and walks along side Tylaerys. He wants to talk to her, but remembers what she said earlier. He stays quiet and thinks to himself as they walks.
"So Kane, what do you make of that dwarven maiden? Mantle, the caravan leader, said something about being late beacause of her morning prayers. Could she be another servant of Azuth, Oghma or Mystra?" Tylaerys says as Kane walks up beside her, obviously curious of the mysterious passenger. "Perhaps we should just go and talk her?" She adds smiling at Kane.
Kane eyes the dwarves maiden riding in the sled and nods with Tylaerys. He will move when she does to talk with her. “Maybe she is a cleric of some kind, in case there are a injuries on the journey, she will be able to heal. But I’m only speculating.”
Allyn pats Quip on the back “Well done, my friend. You play beautifully, we will have to make it a habit to perform together.”
Allyn is not shy as the dwarves urge the groups onto the sleds, and he piles in one of the two sleds in the lead. “Why walk when you can ride!” He settles down in his furs “I will not drive, my experience with dogs is limited to strays roving the streets of Neverwinter, but I will share a traveling story of adventurers crossing an icy wasteland”
Provides Bardic Inspiration to any party member driving the sled. (You can add a d6 to your ability check roll)
"Let´s find out shall we?" Tylaerys quickens up the pace and comes up by the dwarf maiden. "Excuse us, we haven´t intruduced ourselves. We are part of the force guarding the caravan. I´m Tylaerys and this is Kane." Persuasion to convince the dwarf maiden join the conversation:22 (Rolled with advantage if help action from the charismatic Kane, otherwise go with first roll.)
"I cannot drive the sleds" Aster purses their lips, glaring at the dogs before sliding down one of the sleds and adjusting their splints "I will walk. Don't worry, I can find you if I need if nobody minds... Sharing their thoughts with mine. For a while."

The young maiden dwarf face peeks out at Tylaerys from a heavy fur cowl. She has red curly hair and an easy smile.
"Hey, well met. I m Freya." She has a surprisingly earthy voice " We better get moving if we don't want to get an earful. We will have time to talk later today once we make camp."
She moves to take her place on a dogsled.
Once everyone takes their places or decides to walk the caravan starts to move. Slowly at first to help the drivers get their bearings and handle on things. But after a few minutes, the dogs start to pick up the pace, clearly relishing the fresh air and the exercise.
The weather is sunny for now but trailing you are dark clouds.
For those who are running.
If you don't take turns resting during the travel you ll need to make a Con save DC 12 or suffer exhaustion.
OOC: Write what you are doing during the time traveling. And roll the appropriate skills if any.

"What do you say Kane, want to go for a ride with me?" She says smiling at Kane while entering a sled.
Presuming Kane joins Tylaerys in one of the sleds. Animal handling:22
"Or perhaps you should take the reins Kane." She says slightly embarrased seeing how the sled dogs don´t really react to her fumbling with the reins.
