"Good job," the blue tiefling whispers to Shariel. No reason to belabor her ignoring my command. Once Slither indicates the coast is clear, Bree will creep forward with the rest (I assume) and see if we can figure out what they were doing with the boats. Did they just arrive, tie up their boat, and are going in? Does there look like there is usually a permanent guard here (a water flask, a chair, something)?
Investigation: 9
"Does it look like they are coming back?" she asks someone else to Investigate. ;)
It looks like they were tying the boats to the post. The yuan-ti dissapear from sight, heading towards the west cavern. From this particular vantage point, you can go into the river, go north into another area, or follow the path west.

”It would seem we should follow the yuan-ti, but it is not wise to leave a potential enemy at your back. Slither, scout ahead to the north, just far enough to make sure there is no immediate threat. Then return to us.”
”Mal, follow the yuan-ti, but keep to the shadows. Let us know if there is danger as we approach. Did we have a signal? Perhaps something not out of place underground. A whistle of wind?”

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Ijin squirms uncomfortably in Mal's stomach 'Why should we have to risk our life? We only just got it back.' 'What?'. Mal shakes his head clear of the stray thoughts that had appeared. Grimacing, he turns to his new blue sister.
"I gotta be honest Bree, as much as I love you, I don't enjoy being ordered around. I would rather not split up and risk being attacked while alone if we can help it. But..." He eyes Clayton from the side, before smirking.
"Please you wish you were my type. No. I want your hat cowboy." Mal extends his hands, curling up his fingers in a 'gimme' fashion. Ijin wiggles excitedly. It likes the hat.
Slither/Clayton: To the north passage. You see a massive door that is closed, and unlocked. Clayton stumbles on a large rock, which makes a lot of noise, briefly. You both freeze.
Maldrek: To the west passage. You notice that the yuan-ti stop and freeze for a moment after hearing something. They talk among themselves, and the last one in line turns back to the area with the boats. They first two continue deeper west. If you don't do something quick the solo yuan-ti will see you in the north passage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If they are coming back to the boat area, Shariel ducks to the shadows and refocuses to past lives of famous thieves (Psychic Focus: Nomadic Mind, proficiency in Stealth. Stealth Roll: 7), but it seems too little, too late.
When the yuan-ti approach, she will blink behind it and deliver a swift hit from Yasei's wakizashi, amplified by some newly acquired arcane thunder.
(1 point for Nomadic Step; 20' teleport. Attack:24. Damage: 8 plus 2 Thunder damage if it moves before my next turn.)

No, everyone was reunited with their patrons upon resurrection, except Yasei, who killed her god when she committed suicide.
OOC > Well then. At least Papazotl and new Bree see more eye-to-eye than old Bree did.

Clayton eyes Maldrek, “Look man, I appreciate the sentiment, but I got a wife and don’t really swing that way.”

Mal makes a gagging noise.
"Please you wish you were my type. No. I want your hat cowboy." Mal extends his hands, curling up his fingers in a 'gimme' fashion. Ijin wiggles excitedly. It likes the hat.
Squinting with suspicion, Clayton passes it to him, “Alright, go wild.”

"Noice." Mal puts the hat on and sticks his tongue out at Clayton.
"Lets get going cowboy." Mal runs off after the Yuan-ti, slipping into the shadows.

OOC: Probably not the best two to send on this expedition.
It probably sounds like a cowboy is chasing a horse down here.

Haha, Clayton. Results coming soon from both our expeditions.
