Bree 42/42 hp
The adrenaline of combat seems to have knocked something loose in Bree's brain. Or maybe it's seeing Mal in danger. Either way, she steps up with a wide grin, fangs flashing, singing under her breath something that sounds like "Anything you can do, I can do better..." She raises her hands together over her head, coruscating warbles of energy surrounding them, then pulls them apart and throws two streaks of flashing, undulating power at the two remaining yuan-ti.
TwinnedChaos Bolts, one at each yuan-ti. One Sorcery point expended (6 left). One first level slot spent (2/3/3/0 left).
At Yuan-ti3(16)35: 10 to hit, 5 damage of type...

(After Shariel takes the last one down... I have some work this afternoon that may prevent me from posting, so I'm jumping the gun. If it somehow gets all the way back to me, she'll Fire Bolt him.)
Laughing a little breathlessly, Bree skips up to Mal, hopping over the downed yuan-ti, grinning ear to ear. "That was fun! I haven't felt that much... danger? In a loooong time!" She pulls herself up to her new 5'8" height, shakes out her new black hair, and look around at the party. "Let's see where they were going. I expect we'll want to go through the door Slither found, but let's start here. Slither, why don't you lead?"
Yes, they are humanoids. Shariel, if you want to finish off the last one, you have the honor.
If Clayton just killed it, he will use Accursed Specter. Smoke engulfs the body and, as the creature’s soul leave, the smoke binds it in chains. I now have a completely obedient Specter with three temp hit points.
In this cavern, Slither, you see a number of things.
There are 14 slaves here, all in good shape, but appear mentally broken or drugged. There are 3 yuan-ti guards patrolling inside, with a very large yuan-ti looking and admiring himself in a small mirror - this must be Slavemaster Issar. Around his belt is a large key. Issar issues commands to a small chultan boy, Khoti, at his side while he admires himself - apparently Issar is too good to communicate directly to the slaves. The only way out is another passageway north. The slaves, at the moment, are digging in the cavern - trying to make it wider. The tools they are using look dull, and everyone seems to be waiting for a shipment of some sort. Perhaps that what the Yuan-ti in the boat were a part of - but they are now dead.
Even though you are invisible, one yuan-ti looks in the directions you're coming from, hearing noise down the hall, but not seeing you - and returns back to it's post. Be careful with those rolls.
OOC > Since we don't know that the cavern snakes look like they are "expecting something," we won't look, but as soon as Slither returns and describes his findings, Bree will skip back to the boats and search them. Yes, I said skip. Boring Eternal Slayer Bree is boring. Investigation: 10
Arr! Beat by less than 60 seconds! If Clayton and Ghost Snake find nothing, she'll use her better Investigation roll (surely!) to find whatever they don't find. In the meanwhile, she stares curiously at Clayton and mutters to herself... "Forsaken? Straighten? Mistaken? No..."
OOC: Do you add the mod to the extra crit dice?

Don't worry, i'm not gonna kill you all again, i'll leave that up to your die rolls haha.
Maldrek slays one of the yuan-ti! Nice job! You can see the quarterstaff and punch marks on it's body as it falls dead with a THUD.
Yuan-ti3 takes two swings at Clayton:
Attack: 24 Damage: 6
Attack: 20 Damage: 5
Pretty sure those miss. Now I'M rolling bad.
Bree!!!!!
OOC: Sweet Vindication! Yes, both miss. Question, are these humanoids?

No wild surge this time.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Slither casts shillelagh, then booming blade and does a stick-n-move attack using mobility on the nearest yuanti
22 for 12 plus 8 if it moves voluntarily.
Slither then returns to the group
Clayton flourishes his blade, “See, I have a leopard spirit in my body that is ready to spit hot nails. She’s going to need to let off some steam.”
Clayton charges Yuan-ti2, Attack: 10 Damage: 14 magic slashing damage. Attack: 26 Damage: 14 magic slashing damage. Attack: 11 Damage: 12 magic slashing damage.

You notice that this group of yuan-ti wear badges with the word "TRAINEE" written on them.
You can head north to the area with the door, or west down the passageway. Or east along the river.
" Should leave that door closed for now, no? And disable the bell, yes? Maybe go see where these came from, yes?"
Whichever way the party chooses, slither will scout, my vote is west.

No, but no one checked the boats. Yet.
Clayton and Ghost Snake will check the boat.
