You guys take take a long rest if you'd like, but technically since you've arrived in Omu the Forbidden City, a full day has passed.
Approaching area #9.
ADVENTURERS CAMP
Amid the ruins in this area is an abandoned campsite. Torn backpacks and rotted gear little the ground around the three moldering tents. At the center of the camp, a scrap of dirty yellow clothing hangs from a crude wooden flagpole. There is a moldy piece of parchment caught in the lining of one of the tents which has common writing on it.
"Rae,
Denlin has a lead on the Eye of Zoltec! The old goat found an obelisk to the north that marks the entrance to the Tomb of the Nine Gods. The Eye must be within, but the door is magically locked. We think the secret to opening it lies in the holy shrines. We're headed into the ruins to check them out: Gods willing we'll be back tonight. Ras Nsi's serpent people are on the prowl, so be careful. If you get into trouble, sound the swan horn twice and we'll come running.
For the Yellow Banner,
Lord Brixton"
Other than the tents and the note, everything here has been looted, ransacked, and pillaged. There is nothing else of interest in the area.
Yasei spends some time to clean herself up, removing all the froggy stomach acid and bile from her weapons, armor, and equipment. Spew.
After reading the discovered note, Yasei wonders out loud "I wonder if they left this purported 'swam horn' here in camp somewhere? If we found it, it might be useful in case we run into Ras Nsi's serpent people, or the Red Wizards."
Fifty years ago, a brood of yuan-ti from Hisari slithered into Omu and made it their new home. They built an underground temple beneath the old palace and patiently waiting for their god, Dendar the Night Serpent, to come forth and swallow the world. Earthquakes shook Omu and cracked it open like a fig, causing the river to burst its banks. Chance spared the yuan-ti temple from destruction, but scored of yuan-ti died, including their leader.
The evil warlord Ras Nsi, who had raised an army of undead to wage war on the holy city of Mezro, only to suffer a terrible defeat, arrived in Omu shortly after the yuan-ti. Ras Nsi wormed his way into the yuan-ti's favor and underwent a ritual to transform into a hulking yuan-ti himself. Before long, he became their ruler. Today, beneath the cracked and broken streets of Omu, Ras Nsi holds sway and plots to bring Dendar the Night Serpent into the world, sealing it's doom."

Swan horn, sorry, mistype. The horn is no where to be found in the camp. Most likely one of the adventurers had it on them before the camp got ransacked.

Musharib blinks.
“You know, you’ve been doing that a lot. You feeling alright, Musharib?”

"Pew. No offense, cause I know you really tried to wipe yourself off, but princess you still smell really...bad. Like real bad. Like- I'll just go and stand a little upstream if you catch my drift." Maldrek shuffles a little bit away from Yasei.
At the camp he pokes and prods anything left behind for something of use, if he doesn't find anything he'll carve off a giant piece of tent and attempt to fashion it into a makeshift cloak, then he'll just sip at his flask and wait for the others to finish.
Cracked monoliths flank the entrance to this ruin. Saw-edged ferns grow in the courtyard between broken flagstones. A pair of stone doors provide entry to a large, flat-roofed ruin. As you approach the doors, sculptural reliefs decorate the doors of this shrine. The carvings show a horned rabbit charging a small, feral-looking bear with sharp claws. A cuneiform message is etches above the doors, and whoever has I'Jin in his or her belly, can suddenly read it:
I'jin teaches us to take the path least expected
It also tells the story of how I'jin earned the ire of Obo'laka by spoiling a stew prepared for the Great God Obtao.
Right now you guys are standing at Area #10a. You can see into Area#10b, and the floor looks like this - nothing but pressure plates with animal heads. There is no way around the pressure plates. You must pass through them to get to the maze, and to the puzzle cube.
If available, Shariel grabs the wall with assistance from NangNang and climbs across, over and around the pressure-plate floor.

"Aye!" He says. "Though I have no idea why she's chosen me to do tha talkin'.."
He shrugs, and keeps looking around, unfazed.
"I supposed I should be honored!" He mentions.
Bree
"Should we make camp here? I could use the rest," she coughs up a little green smoke.
After that, 10, 11, 13, 12, 14...?
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.

Moving on to 10 unless there are objections. =) There's lots of lore and stuff to explore in this city.
OOC: Yes, let’s venture onward! With only our wits, and a growing fear of a snake warlord!
