Clayton, as you step on the bunny unicorn, you hear a CLICK, but nothing happens. If you are going to proceed, then you need to be specific WHICH tile you are going to stand on NEXT. Ok, Indiana Jones?
Well, from what Clayton has seen of I’jin in Maldrek, he’s very quick and doesn’t stay in one place for long. This might be a speed challenge. Clayton will run in a straight line to the very end as fast as he can, and hopefully not be eaten by like the bunny version of a froghemoth or something.
OOC: If others would like to try anything, please, I don’t want it to seem like the Clayton and Co show
Yasei will attempt to run across the exact same column (the far left) that Clayton just ran across. She'll have her katana out, ready to parry to deflect any Indiana Jones-style poison darts shooting out from the walls.
Maldrek looks across the floor. "Hey Ijin, wanna give me an idea of what will happen if we fail."
Depending on what Ijin answers (or if he even answers), Maldrek will pick up Bree and tuck her under his arm like a football. He'll run across the same way the others did, prepared to react in case something happens.
If this for some reason sets anything off he'll hurl Bree across the way at Clayton first and then attempt to duck away from any danger.
Haha again, nothing happens. You are now in the maze part of the shrine. For some reason, way deep down in your subconscious, you don't like mazes. If you look at the picture I uploaded last week in the DM notes, you can see it goes either right or left. Anyone can safely go through the maze, and retrieve the I'jin puzzle cube from it's pedestal. A shaft of natural light spills from a tiny square hole in the ceiling onto a carved stone pedestal. An ornate stone cube rests on its surface, waiting to be taken.
You can all move on to Area 11 safely, knowing you have survived another shrine.

AREA 11 - THE WAGON
As you walk towards area 11, you are actually surprised no one else besides the yuan-ti have jumped you since entering the Forbidden City. An overturned wagon lies on the street ahead at AREA 11. Rotting flower petals litter the ground around it, and bees nest in its broken wheels. A freshly cut garland of jungle flowers hangs from the wagon's tongue, as if this cart is accepting offerings. This very particular area is unusually lush and full of life, and the scent of honey is overwhelming and overpowering in a good way.
Maldrek realizes he's not in a room, but outside, on the long street near Area11. Stay with us, now. =P
He does, however, find something under the wagon. It's a moss-covered stone disk half-buried in the mud underneath the wagon. Concentric rings of inscriptions cover its surface - some written in Common, and other etches in jagged cuneiform. The message is a proclamation from an Omuan queen to her rivals in Mezro.
"Queen Napaka proclaims that the free people of Omu fear nothing. Brave new gods protect us, as Ubtao did before but does no longer. Omu will rise again, and Napaka shall reclaim all that is her by right of conquest."
The cart looks more like a place where things have made offerings, Clayton.
Papazotl is detecting the smallest form of life somewhere near the area. Very close. You get radiations of "shyness", "harmlessness", "curiosity".

Miraculously, as you hear the CLICK CLICK CLICK of the pressure plates as you step on them while running...nothing happens. Luckily.
I'll update once people chime in and say what they're gonna do.
“Woo! Made it! Got to say, Maldrek, I’m liking your spirit’s trial the best. He hasn’t even tried to kill us!”

Bree submits to the football tuck. But she's never liked it.
If anything does come at them, she will cast Shield with her reaction.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.

Yasei: "That was easy! Or maybe we're just lucky. No one had to take a swim inside a beast's stomach!"

Maldrek will take the cube, if possible he sends his thanks to Ijin, all while keeping Bree tucked under his arm.
Also he would like to perception check this room with the honey scent.

Can Clayton determine if it’s some sort of memorial?

Slither communes with Moa, "this wagon is not familiar, no? The gifts mean something, yes?"
They mean something to someone..
