Bree, in her head. I want to blow a big hole in them with a big ball of fire! Big ball of fire! BIG BALL OF FIIIIIIIIIRE!
Bree/Papazotl, out loud. "Shoot them or hold position! Don't close with 'em!"
OOC > So... did we take a short rest before the 5, 7 overlook/bridge scene? I think yes, because JCAndD asked and Crispy said, "Uh, yeah, sure, whatever" or something like that. It matters for my spell slots. If so, I probably had to cast another Mage Armor, so I am running out of spell slots, fyi. I'm assuming yes, we took a short rest, but not a long rest.

Yasei has already stated her intent to stand her ground and wait for the Yuan-ti. So Bree is going to reach heavenward, bring her hand, now glowing, down to the other, wind up and launch a Fireball at the three approaching Yuan-ti.
She will spend a Sorcery point to empower the Fireball (she can re-roll the two lowest damage dice, if she wants).
Yuan-ti must make a Dex save vs DC 13 to take half damage. Full damage is 34 ...
... she will re-roll the 1 and the 2... 8...
... for a total of (34-3+8=) 39 fire damage, or 19 on Dex save vs DC 13
Then she takes her move to remove herself from melee range, i.e. she runs behind everyone else and climbs up Bumble to hide behind his frill (some amount of cover, yes?)

Clayton extends his hands to his side as TWO revolvers appear in them. He spins and fires two shots toward Yuan-ti5. Attack: 14 Damage: 6 force damage and Attack: 26 Damage: 7 force damage.
Yasei has an idea. She looks down at her feet while waiting for the oncoming yuan-ti, and notices a rock the size of a humanoid head. Picking it up, she looks it over, and then fastballs it at yuan-ti5!
Attack: 13 Damage: 10
OOC: I asked Crispy about this. Looking online, there appears to be a ton of arguments all over the board about how to roll attack and damage for a thrown rock. Some say 1d4, some 1d6, some even higher. Since Yasei is enormously strong, she decided to pick up and throw a rather large rock (not a fist-sized one that would normally be 1d4 like a dagger), so I picked the middle of the road damage, 1d6. Everyone online said to use STR bonus, and not DEX, for a chucked rock. To make it fair, I decided to roll it at disadvantage, since she's really not a trained boulder hurler! Sounds fair? Figured it would add a little flair to the encounter! :-)
OOC: Would it not be an improvised attack? Which would be 1d4 + your Strength mod, but without your weapon proficiency, rather than disadvantage?
Like I said, my online research was all over the board - everyone seemed to have their own opinion. The 1d4 damage, many people claimed, makes sense for chucking a fist sized rock, because it's equivalent to a dagger. Many other folks suggested 1d6 or 1d10 for larger sized rocks/boulders. I asked Crispy, and he suggested 1d6. But, because I just knew someone would complain, I chose to roll it at disadvantage.
Fine, then change the damage to a crit 1d4 + 1d4 + 7 (Yasei's STR bonus) -> 12
Haha love The Princess Bride gifs. Nice job, one Yuan-ti down.
So just because I can, yuan-ti4, pulls out a horn and blows it, and another 3 yuan-ti emerge from the edge of the lava lake to join the fray. I'm going to roll initiative for them now and squeeze them in.
