Zmyth looks over his shoulder at the door. "You couldn't pay me enough to work for that Gnome," Zmyth hisses. He turns back to the bastions. "I wish you lot had been here earlier. I had a room upstairs. Unfortunately, I was unintentionally involved in a scuffle in the tavern just now. When trying to inquire as to the intentions of three red-clad individuals who may or may not have been giving Hykie problems, one attacked me. In defending myself, I was forced to cut down my assailant. One other is still inside — dead from poison, I believe I heard — and the third escaped. I hope none of the patrons were harmed."
"Lord Thunderbrand," the old woman calls through the door she then cracks the door, "what's happening," she asks through the crack you can tell from her tone of voice and expression she's terrified! "They've come for me...haven't they," she adds next.
Outside the tavern:
"The gnome is the one who kept us from harm," the patron begins from behind the bastions, "this one starting asking questions," the man adds as the bastion named McCreedy holds her gauntlet covered hand up to you and then turns behind her.
"Unless you want to sleep it off in the stocks you'll be on your way," McCreedy says curtly as you finally see the two men slink off. "You're name would be...." she trails off looking at you Zmyth as her companions now flank her.
Kriz as soon as you mention the name Wintermarsh you see Yelena's confidence flutter before she regains it completely.
"You mean the death of the old woman," Yelena says her tone and expression casual unyielding anymore concern. "Good riddance is what I say," she then adds. "A toast," Yelena then shouts out to the bar. "Good win and riches to us and death to our enemies," she adds next downing her wine.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"Lord Thunderbrand how do I know you've not been concierced or paid by the Wintermarshes to give me up," the old woman then says. "I've... I've not been wholly truthful with you," she then says through the door having closed and locked in again. "I...I stole that horse and cart as well as what I was owed," she then exclaims and you're sure not she's crying behind the door.

"Zmyth," McCreedy then nods curtly at you. "No surname of consequence then? No great house of....Draconia isn't it? Isn't that were they're from," she asks turning to the half-elf behind her who shrugs as the half-orc groans.
"Anyway you say you aided the gnome," the half-orc interrupts her captain and asks curiously, "even though you now claim no to work for him," she adds as the human turns to face her with a hard look.
As a soldier you know to speak over a superior isn't the best way to go about things!

Zmyth first looks at the captain, "I am formerly from Draconia, but I am not Draconian. I am Ravenite. If I were to claim a surname, it would be my former master's: Elderbind." He then turns toward the half-orc, "I've never worked for the Gnome; only rented a room. When I heard what sounded like furniture being broken in the tavern, I went down to investigate. I did attempt to ask questions before getting involved, but when I was attacked, I defended myself."
“To their death and our riches” toats Kriz. After taking a sip shorter that it appears she continues.
“So, we have this place to relax and be ourselves... how do you came up with the idea? It’s lovely!! If I ever want to dissapear and relax I would come here if I am welcome of course...” she says with a roguish smile in her face looking at Yerena in the eye.
"No tails," Zmyth you hear the half-elf whipser loudly pointing at your lack of a tail...
McCreedy sighs auditably before looking back at you.
"Sounds like he was trying to help to me," McCreedy says gesturing to the tavern next. "We'll go in shall we and take to the gnome," she says but doesn't wait for you to speak she just moves forward towards the door as her companions flank her.
She stopped however as your large frame is blocking her entry, do you move?

"I found that one of my....profession wasn't welcomed in other establishments unless I was on the clock we'll say so I created this place for myself and my good friends to have a haven from our profession which can be so draining," Yelen replies to you Kriz. "I was once welcomes among the finest families in this city but a las how the mighty have fallen myself among them," she adds laughing again gesturing for more wine to be brought to the table.

Zmyth moves to the side and begins watching the street again for any danger, but specifically for any red-clad individuals — also for Kriz, Xuix or Nasser.
”Would you mid to help a newcomer to the city to know the more influent families in Vasselheim? Just their names and where they stand, so I will know where are the right places to offer my services...”
The street outside looks busy with evening traffic, it's been about an hour since you arrived to the tavern and the sun is setting. The bastions watch passed you inside and the half-orc remains outside with you observing the street.
"You like on retainer then or something," the half-orc female asks looking at you. She's nearly your same height but you're broader shoulders make her puff out her chest and spread out trying to match your imposing figure. "I mean to say you don't look like the type who frequents this kind of place," she explains gesturing behind you to Hearty Haversack.

“I’m not working for the Wintermarshes. Now I’m asking you to come with me to safety. Don’t make me open this door. After all I have the key.” Blitz tells her
Kriz the club has become cozy now and Yelena seems more relaxed. She answers your questions listing the great families of each district but none of it seems relevant. What's more interesting however to you is she leaves out the Wintermarshes entirely!!

Zmyth the half-or snorts. "I've never been one to follow rules but with a face like mind it's either thieving or the sword and I'm dead clumsy," she adds next with a tusky smile. "Sounds like we both need new jobs," she adds next.

Blitz the old woman finally opens the door. "I also took this," she adds holding out a journal of some kind, "my lady recorded everyone's debts in it," she adds handing it over before coming out of the the room into the hall.

"Tell them Lord Thunderbrand," Hykie says putting emphasis on your name for the first time ever. "Tell them what happened," he adds looking exasperated!

“Well. Myself Lord Blitz Thunderbrand from Kraghammer and my retainer have been staying here under recommendation. I’m sure as Hykie has already told you. We were upstairs minding our own business when we heard a commotion downstairs. That’s when we came down to three individuals terrorizing the patrons of this place and Hykie. Hykie couldn’t kick all three of them out by himself so me and my retainer helped him out.” Blitz explains
Kriz let's that the cozy mood surrounds them both and approaches a little to Yerena.
"Thank you for your advices. But I can't help but notice that you left out the Wintermarsh family. Now that the old hag is dead... shouldn't be that family more accesible? What's with that ones that everyone is so jumpy about it?"
