Tellior looks at his friends, "Well, we could certainly go ask what's going on, couldn't we? I'd hate to have to tell Lady Danelian there would be no pies!" Her pauses to make sure his friends though are on board with this.
“Now that is odd”Kellen sighs as the children are hustled out of the bakery. He turns to Myrin and asks “I can see why a strong and powerful half-orc in dark armor is a strange sight, but surely they have seen a gnome here in the Feywild before?"He turns back to his companions Tell, do I have food in my beard again?” Kellen panics and starts pulling at his beard, groomed into two curling points this morning, and looks to see if there is anything strange on his person.
Tellior's question pulls his mind back to the present “Huh? Oh, yes, of course we should go see what is going on. Can’t make pies without berries after all!”
Myrin says, “I haven’t had a spare moment to see what’s going on at the farm myself, so it would be a great help. And if you can get me the glimmerberries, I can certainly get the Lady her pies. I’d hate to let her down myself.”She glances at new customers who are walking in the door and then turns back to Kellen, “You look perfectly fine, by the way. I don’t know what got into those kids. They’ve been in here many a day and never acted that way before, with gnomes or anyone else. I wouldn’t worry about it.”

“Strange… yes I’m sure we look fine.- it often seems like someone is playing tricks on us, doesn’t it? “ Celesta is still wearing the beautiful embroidered clothing she got, she takes a moment to look at her reflection in a window just to check, (shes a very beautiful Eladrin girl, who has been looking even more fey now that she’s back “home” in the Feywild.)
(Busy with a new job so slower posting for me, still on board!)
Tellior takes a look at Ember and Kellen. "I think Celesta is right, it seems like this whole place is trying to play tricks on us! Ember especially. We should perhaps though keep an eye on how children react to us. Might be something is up."
"Are we ready to head on to the farm to find Haldi? If we could get some directions. Or do you know of the place Aspen?"
"i still need the lunarphobia dispelled. im not sure how to fight with that major a weakness"

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

"Ember! How often do moon symbols pop up in the middle of your fights?" Tellior shakes his head, grinning. "Hey, and my teeth came back." He checks with his tongue really quickly just to make sure they really are coming back. "So it probably will just go away. But, do you think you can go on for now?"

"That’s the right attitude, Ember!”Kellen pats him on the arm encouragingly “Let’s keep going on. It will all turn up in the end. Myrin said the farm was just around the corner. Will you come along with us, Aspen? We could use the help”
Listening to your conversation, Aspen adds, “So you have experienced some strange effects here? Fear of the moon, teeth problems, and now children seeming frightened of you? I assume you used a leyline intersection yesterday, right? I’ve heard that outsiders may experience odd reactions to the leyline energy. As far as I know, their trouble fades after they leave the Truelands. Oh, and of course I’ll go with you to the farm. I know where it is.”
You all exit the bakery, retrace your steps a bit as if returning to the palace, but you take a right before getting to the main road where you met the dryad Mape. You see a sign on the hedge that simply reads Haldi’s Berries. Upon entering, a bell tinkles quietly and immediately a muffled voice says, “Sorry, folks, we’re closed." A gnome with long red braids, pale skin, and earth-toned clothes sits on a stool behind the counter with her head in her hands.

"Hello?" Tellior says. "We actually came by on behalf of Myrin to inquire if everything is alright here." He slowly approaches the gnome. "It seems as if there is maybe something wrong. Perhaps we can help?" He tries to sound sympathetic.
She looks up at Tellior’s words and you can see that she has been crying. “I appreciate the offer of help, but…” She takes a moment to look you all over, taking in your armor and weapons. “Oh! Maybe you could help, though I can’t imagine why you would want to. My problem is that the berry field has been infested with hawks, blood hawks to be specific. Really aggressive, really sharp beaks. I don't know where they came from. I’ve never seen blood hawks in Hedgegrove before.”
“They are beautiful birds,” says Aspen. “But as Haldi says, quite fierce. And territorial. If they establish a nest here, they’ll start to spread across the farms of the whole city.”

Celesta says “I can perhaps try to put some to sleep with magic, so we would not have to kill them. It would be best if we can get them all close together so I can target a group with one spell…”. She smiles. “Do you have some meat? And some bags we can put them in to keep them safe and secure when they wake…”
Tellior looks at Ember. "That is a good question - it would be nice if we didn't have to kill them." He then smiles as Celesta offers up a suggestion. "Yes! That sounds perfect. Do you think you could get them all?"
She ponders for a moment..”it depends how many they are. These aren’t normal little hawks, they are quite tough, from what I’ve read about them. I probably can’t get more than five or so with each spell..”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“We would be glad to help, and we hope you can provide some berries to Myrin’s bakery for a pie order once those birds have been cleared out.” Kellen tries to remember what he knows about Blood Hawks Nature/History 19
As he hears Celesta talk about putting the birds to sleep “Oh, tell me about that spell. I think I may be able to help put some to sleep as well!”
Blood hawks are very aggressive and fearless, attacking with very sharp beaks. They fight like a pack of winged wolves to take down prey much larger than themselves. They live in a wide range of habitats, but not usually in cities. Perhaps the hedges and other plant life of this city attracted them.
“We could catch them with your Sleep spell, but I’m not sure what we would do with them afterward,” says Aspen thoughtfully. “They would be a dangerous pest anywhere in the city. It is quite odd that they are here at all. I wonder what drew them here.”
Haldi watches them plan, a hopeful look growing up on her face. “Of course I’d be delighted to provide Myrin with berries if we can make the field safe again. Killing them or capturing and removing them works for me. Their beauty doesn’t stop them from causing great harm.” The gnome shows you the scratches and bandages on her face and arms. “But if you would rather not kill them, I do have some burlap sacks. No meat, unfortunately.”
She retrieves a half dozen sacks from another room and then shows you a short passage in the back of the shop. It cuts through the hedge and ends with a door that leads out to the berry field. Aspen casts a couple of spells, producing some small berries and causing his skin to become even more bark-like and tough. “I suppose we catch the ones we can and fight off the ones we can’t. I’m ready to go unless you want to do any other preparation or planning.”
