Something about the halflings words didn't sit well with Loa. "I think it would be prudent for you to stay," Loa said to the retreating figure."You have yet to mention what was outside that kept you in here."Yes, there had been disruption outside, but no dead bodies. The halfling, supposedly terrified of what lay inside the church had stayed here, amongst the corpses instead of leaving.
"Master alchemist with all due respect, I don't trust you, and I don't think I'll be letting you go." And Thordilgon positions himself between Sebastian and the exit.
"There was no villager's left. You said you came through the village and found no one else alive or....moving about," Sebastian explains edging towards the door again. "If you value your lives you won't open that door," he adds moving further again towards the opened doors.
Loa gains no insight. The halfling is full of fear however which seems genuine enough but whether it's from what's in the temple behind the door or Thordilgon intimidating words/actions he can not be sure.
"You'll have to kill me to stop me," the halfling says panic rising in his voice as he bolts for the doors.
Grapple check Thordilgon.
OOC: Just to note I'm giving Sebastian advantage based on racial traits to oppose.

Moving over to aid Thordilgon with stopping the halfling alchemist (Help action to give advantage, probably by just closing the door), Gareth says, “You may very well be an innocent victim as you claim, or you may be the one responsible! Do not lie to us, Sebastian!!”
Rattinger still doesn't know what to make of the halfing. His allies are sufficiently alarmed at his behavior and story. While Rattinger sympathizes with the little man - he may after all be the innocent sole survivor of an unimaginable horror - he trusts his companions to know the right thing to do. If they feel the halfling must be contained, that is good enough for Rattinger.
With all the commotion, Rattinger is interested to see if there is any evidence of activity beyond the barred door. While the other try to wrestle Sebastian to the ground, Rattinger moves to the door and listens to see if anything stirs... Perception 21

Rattinger hears moaning and soft thuds and then it hits him! A sicken smell of death coming from behind the door!
As Rattinger is about to quietly remind Loa that Longshadow had detected something ... unnatural... beyond the door, he overhears sounds of moaning and movement. Moments later he is overcome with the foul odors creeping out through the doorframe. He steps back quickly, swinging his hands at the air as though to strike at the awful smell.
"There is something there - and its alert and moving," he coughs out. "Whatever it is, I'm convinced it is no longer the good cleric of Windstaff. The air itself seems to swim with the odor of undeath."
" I suggest we decide what to do with the survivor and then prepare to open this door. Any of you with protection spells to cast might want to consider it... we will likely have a fight on our hands with whatever lies beyond."

I just hope he isn't the one that caused all of this through some alchemical plague and is off to infect the next town," says Gareth pessimistically, laying down his burning torch just outside the doorway so he has a hand free. Listening to the halfling speak, Loa tries to discern if there is any ill intent in his voice, or if he is trying to mislead the group.
