Though fog shrouds everything here, it’s easy to recognize the huge, dome-like mound of earth and the great, dark cleft in its western edge. The domed hill must be more than sixty feet high, and the crack cuts half that high. A few tall boulders have fallen into the cleft—though the hill is so grassy and clear otherwise, those boulders look more like they’ve been placed there.
This is the place. The tall boulders are Medium-sized stones, each about 1000 lbs.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Marlyth will use a clipper, a dropper or other tools in order to examine the dying and diseased plants, also she inspects the condition of the fouled and poisonous water to find out what caused the supernatural pollution of the area. In fact, she seems quite worried about the natural state of the area since the place looks almost hostile to living organisms.
"Tabaqui, do you still have the theki root with you? It's possibly the best time to consume one dose of the herbal medicine, this whole place is poisoned. And I've finished brewing a potion of healing which is a scarlet tinged liquid and seems fatal, but I think it will work."
Tabaqui treks all the way around to the opposite side of the hill seeing nothing that particularly stands out. Having circumscribed half the hill he comes to three squat boulders are here amid the long grasses and shallow water of the moor. Each is spotted with lichen and patches of rich, dark moss. They’re arranged on the ground as if they are the points of a triangle.
The ground here is littered with small, lifeless rocks amid windswept grasses. Crazy though it seems, Tabaquibis sure he sees one if the boulders move, ever so slightly.
Edit: spelling, punctuation. <Marlyth, I already mentioned, discovers the cause is supernatural, but thank you for playing it out. I don't know too many players who are into the survival mechanics especially in pbp.>

(Please call me 'InkedBee' during OOC conversation, and you're welcome. But, I'll disagree with the second sentence. FYI, Marlyth actually died during the combat encounter with the Assassins and Will o' wisps, but I did a quick retcon to let her survive with only 4 HP. To sum up, survival mechanics are vital sometimes.)
Marlyth casts Hellish Rebuke on the first Assassin in order to deal 9 Fire Damage. Then she faints and by the time her lifeless body hits the cold floor of the sepulcher she has turned into infinitesimal pieces of green dust.
(Here's the actual action which would've killed her, I've read the campaign notes and thought that you should know about this since you're play-testing the series.)
The indicated rock begins to groan - a low rumbling sound. It is not subtle.
<It's actually speaking Terran, but anyone who understands Promordial can understand it.>
"Rumble-grumble"
Quote:"
"Can't a guy sit and relax for a couple of years without someone coming along and trying to roll him on his way?"
"
An arm appears to stretch out along the ground d on either side of the Boulder, as the tiny valleys and rises on the surface move to reveal a broad face. A moment later, the whole mass of stone tears itself from the grassy hillside, lifted by a pair if squat, rocky legs.
"I can understand common okay, but most folk I've tried talking to can't understand me. Must be my accent." The rock replies in Terran. Mire likely it's the grumbling grinding rocks' failure to produce a sound even slightly resembling humanoid speech.
"We all understand common a d a dozen other languages " adds another rock, now pulling himself up in the same manner as the first. "And we are very good listeners."
The third rock of the trio adds, "Tell us, friends, what is your story. We love a good tale, but please don't go too fast."
<That's all in Terran, but Calner should understand. Assuming he shares with the others, anyone and everyone csn respond.>
Angus will attempt to share what the party has learned about the saga of Sylvene, Waltarn and Tyreus, and how the latter intends to use the stones of creation to remake this world.
"We were instructed that we could find what we need to counter these stones here on the moors", he concludes.
Marlyth collects a sample of the poisonous water into a vial and stores it for future use. When she watches Calner attempting to chomp on random roots while mimicking the action of Tabaqui, she will freak out and slap the unknown item away. She will provide him with a dose of Theki Root.
Finally, she sits on a smaller rock with flat surface and silently watches the ongoing conversation between Angus and the pack of moving rocks, nodding dismissively at the paladin male when he spills out most of the valuable information to the strangers.
The earthe elementals listen very patiently, absorbing all the details of rhe story and never giving the suggestion of an impending interruption. At the conclusion of the tale, the first to speak suggests: "Aha. A noble cause. And you think the item you seek is within the cleft rocks on this hill?" Assuming it's confirmed, the galeb duhr replies "Then we shall help you gain entry. Let us roll to it." The three rocks withdraw their appendages to appear as nearly perfectly rou d boulders and roll around the hill continuing the counterclockwise path.
As you pass the north face if the hill, you notice, carved into the hillside, a ten-foot-high alcove of simple stones, framing a low stone altar. It might have been ornate once, but years of weather have smoothed its features. A wide, table-like slab of stone stands on four short supports carved like serpents. The ground under the altar is loose gravel atop a wide stone base.
The fissure in the hill is just ahead. <you could ask examine or otherwise I terrorize the altar or proceed to the opening and enter the hill there>
Tabaqui quickly says, "Calner, ask them about the significance of this altar, please."
<They understand common, just can't speak it>
"The shingled folk from the hills to the south occupied this place for a time. They used the stones they put here to commute with their dead. The altar is made of four stout columns, 150 pounds each and a 400 pound slab, all standing on a single 250-pound boulder, still under the gravel beneath the altar. That boulder caps a natural fissure in the ground."
(Yes, they discuss the weight of stones used in architecture. This is why they value a quality raconteur.")
The galeb duhr replies: "Affirmitive. It is the means by which those who came to inhabit this shell made their way in and out. Would you like to enter here?"
<you guys want to hazard a guess as to the color of this chapter? We're down to 2 slices if the color pie, so even though the chapter is just starting, you've got a pretty good chance of getting g it right. As always, a prize is up for grabs.>

Tabaqui says, "Um, OK" and bites off a tentative bit of the root, expecting the worst (tastewise).
He looks around the hill for entrances (other than the cleft).

In case you were wondering g what the hill looks like:
1 is the fissure you first found, 3 is the altar, 2 is where the rock guys were hanging out.
