Kiari finds that the chicken should be edible and not rancid after examining it.
(Anything else folks want to scout out in the camp, or are you all ready to head back south? Would you like to take the raiders' trail or back up the slope of the plateau on your right?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cale will approach Travis, prosthetic nose and false moustache in hand. "This should mask your celeb status for now, but if you need to reveal yourself then just rip it off. Now hold still a second..."
d20 + Proficiency 3 but I don't know which ability will count, DM? If it's INT then +0, WIS is +2 and DEX is +3
EDIT: Lol, it's unlikely to matter with that roll, and I dread to think what the Champion of Greenest looks like now XD
Nothing of interest turns up in Kiari's investigation. The camp looked pretty hastily put together just based on folks having casual looks (passive perception).
(We can say WIS on the disguise kit, but I agree that this is not good lol; anyone else want to try and help?) The nose almost immediately falls off of Travis, and the mustache looks more like a smear of grease trailing from the middle of his nose down to his chin. Instead of real glasses, there are some crudely drawn grease spectacles and Travis' face.
(From OCC chat, Travis could try for an investigation roll to see if there is anything in the loot like a shield. The cultists and kobolds were not carrying shields)

Kirari had hesitated to try to assist earlier with the disguise, but seeing the current results doesn't think she could do worse. She moves over to Travis trying to help in creating a workable disguise. She tries to turn the greasy glasses look into a mask-ish design that she'd seen on one of the Cultists and picks a small rock from inside the nose prosthetic that was preventing it from adhering properly smoothing the edges with the grease hoping for an improvement. "If all else fails one of us could punch you in the nose and you could look injured for the cause." She says looking ready to volunteer although more in fun than malice. Then catches the nose as it slips off of his face once again.
( deception and performance are both Charisma checks so rolled that here? 6 - although her wisdom roll would be the same if needed)
The nose just does not want to stay on Travis' face, but the grease at least does not look as comical as it did before. Still, it looks like Travis is definitely being made to appear to be something he is not.
Cale looks at the mess he and Kiari have made of Travis's face and has no bravado to cover up his shame. "Well it has been a while since I used one of these, and I'm not used to working with stubble, and, and..."
He shrugs, quickly forgiving himself. "Well, at least I just moved up one in the group's handsomeness table. I gotta be in the top three now"
The professor watches as Cale and Kirari keep trying to make a disguise of Travis’ face. Seeing the last attempt he bursts out laughing. “I think we might be better if Travis just wears one of these robes and a mask.”
Cale raises his hands in a mixture of frustration and apology: "I think you might be right, Prof. Ah, it was worth a try - thanks for the help Ki, I think you were onto a loser trying to repair my mess"
Travis shakes his head, laughing a little at the failed attempt at deception. "Perhaps it was not meant to be," he says. "A mask or hood should be sufficient."
Travis takes a moment to look for another shield among the litter and loot at the site.
Inglenook wanders over to the group after finishing his chicken, just as the others are all laughing at Travis.
A false nose knocks him on the head, and he hands it back up to Cale.
"Don't mean to be pushy but isn't a bit risky that we're all sitting out in the open dressing each other up? I think it might be best to get packed up and move on?
He picks up his pack and shoulders it. "I don't think any of the robes will fit me. It's always tricky getting trousers that fit.
I'll just be a prisoner I guess? After all, I'm pretty good at looking downtrodden and rejected."
Cale is able to recover his arrows, but Travis' investigation does not turn up a shield. It still seems quiet in the campsite as no one has come to check on the cultist's and Kobolds they were straggling in the back of the raiding party.
Kirari dons a robe and mask then moves to stand with the others ready to go down the hill. "If we stay close to brush and lead the mules, maybe they won't notice that we're short a few. Inglenook is right though, we're a suspicious lot at the moment. Lets head down before it gets too much later? We should bring the mules."

"Aye" says Cale, readying his bow as he looks for a good route to move alongside the party that is elevated but not skylined. If he cannot achieve both, he will put stealth ahead of elevation.

Investigation 8
"Perhaps one of us should stay out of sight, stealthy? Or take me as a prisoner?" Kirari suggests. "I can speak Draconic if that's any help?"
"I'll offer the best use of my skills from cover - I'll try to flank from cover" says Cale, testing his bow string and retrieving his arrows.

Thaddeus nods. “Cale would you like to remain hidden while Travis and I escort these two captives?”

Stealth 21
Perception 16 (passive 16)
Kirari adjusts gear to take on that of a prisoner instead and takes her place as captured following the lead of Travis and Thaddeus.
I think thats the plan?
Travis covers his face as best he can and does his best to appear cultish and creepy as they start to head out.
Inglenook does his best to look like a prisoner. He tries to look like crap, which doesn't take much effort on his part.
Then he starts to trudge south. "Come on," he looks over his shoulder. "Feels like we've been messing around in this damn camp for days."
